Favorite end-of-movie shootout?
OK, so as I was working out last night, I popped in the DVD of the Getaway (McQueen version). I know there are lots of more modern movies that have spectacular ending gunfights, but for some reason, the one in this movie is my favorite. There's just something about the fine shotgun work that tops the others, in my opinion.
So, what's your favorite, movie-ending shootout?

Open Range because it it more realistic in that they actually miss people once in a while AND have to reload! Imagine That[:0]
I found it to be very UNrealistic, when you see the guys flying thru the air from the impact of the shots... It is cheesy garbage. I liked the realistic approach to this one, and yes there is alot about this scene that is full of decent realism, but the guy flying across the alley from a black powder shotgun blast thru a wooden wall just smacks of the same Hollywood crap that makes every car that ever went off the road explode like it was carrying 50 pounds of TNT.
Having said that, the movie over all is fantastic and I am a huge Duvall westerns fan! I may dislike Kevin Costner, some of his politics, and some of his image, but I think he does a fine job in a role like this.
I am thinking maybe The Magnificent Seven.0 -
Gotta love John Wayne in "True Grit." Unrealistic as he11, but way cool: "Fill your hand, you son of a (something)." 0 -
