Agent was asking about one of my neighbors. Apparently she had applied for a job with the military and this was part of the BC. Couldn't tell him much as I really don't speak with her except to say hi while running the trash can in and out and we pass in the driveway.

I must admit it was a weird feeling to have a guy at the door flashing that FBI ID badge.

Well, its been a good run Saxon!

    RancheroPaul finally found you...

The badge was fake. He was just trying to get a look inside your house. Sleep well..[:D][;)]

Just think how the applicant feels when their Mom writes them and says that the FBI talked to our next door neighbor about you yesterday. [:D][:D][:D]

Get all of your dope and illegal porn out of the house tonight after it's dark. Check for "service" vans before you leave the house and don't go out with your stash if you see one. Try to enlist a minor to take your stuff out. They will be back within a few days with a search warrant.

Was he wearing shiny black shoes?

Thats standard procedure for government security clearances. Your neighbor must need a security clearnce to top secret information.

MVP, I believe that's why SaxonPig noted it as part of the BC.

I had it happen to me a long time ago. I had just put in for my first FFL and I was expecting a visit from ATF to inspect the premises. Well the police chief showed up on my door with an FBI agent . I thought well maybe they sent him to do the deed. So I go hi come on in I've been expecting you. and start to show them the setup of my shop when I notice this dazed expression on the Feds face. I ask him if he's here to check my shop he explains they are investigating an outfit I had ordered some surplus from. It seems they were selling more than just surplus items they were dealing in stolen military equipment mail order. It was funny they thought I was insane until I told them I was expecting ATF to look over my shop for an FFL application. We got it straightened out and everybody left happy. The ATF never did show up just sent my license.

Seriously, everyone who has been in the military and needed a security clearance had a BC and not just for TS. I had a BC in 1966 and they scared the crap out of one neighbor who sold a little shine on the side. The FBI devotes a lot of resources to this task, usually given to Junior agents who hate it.

Your neighbor is going to be watching you now. Wondering why the FBI was questioning you.[:D]

Had the same thing happen to me when a good friend was checked out for
a very high Govt. security clearance. We had a 20 minute talk and all went well. No big deal. Glad to see a check is made when security is needed.
