FBI came to my house today.
Agent was asking about one of my neighbors. Apparently she had applied for a job with the military and this was part of the BC. Couldn't tell him much as I really don't speak with her except to say hi while running the trash can in and out and we pass in the driveway.
I must admit it was a weird feeling to have a guy at the door flashing that FBI ID badge.

When I got my security clearance and went home on leave several people said guys in suits came around asking about me . I don't remember them saying they were FBI though. That was in 1976. 0 -

Bang250- What makes you think he got inside my house? Police come inside only when I called them or when they have a warrant. I went outside and stood on the porch to speak with him.
What was funny was the last thing I said before leaving work was a joke to someone about not telling where I was if the FBI came looking for me and I wasn't home 10 minutes and there they were!

Could be from more than one of the alphabet outfits-FBI, NSA, DSS, OPM or even just a civilian contract type (former gov't or military investigator). Depends upon several factors, with whoever happens to have an investigator available in the area included.

The Company I work for had an ex-FBI Agent as a Consultant for a couple years. Great Guy, very friendly and professional, a Former Army Infantry Captain before he joined the Bureau. He always had a smile and was patient with my stupid questions.

I remember that, they made it out like they were selling machine guns outta the mail, in fact it was just parts kits, and the ATF in its eagerness , had decided that the recievers should have been triple cut another way[:(] If fact they were not usable at all said the guys on 191914.com

When I got my TS/Crypto clearance in 58 it was done by the FBI but they didn't tell anyone why they were asking.
I just happened to recall that my wife got a secret clearance when she worked at Hughes Aircraft & we never saw any sign of any checking they did.0 -
This was you chance to come outside with the "special hat" (with the ear flaps and all) on and only that hat....you could have spoken into the mailbox for a good 15 minutes with your rear end gleaming in the sun for them to get a really good look at. 0 -

I had a Secret Service agent come by my house about a week ago doing an update on my neighbor. Saw the Harley in the driveway, and the rifles in the rack above the fireplace. 1903A3,Garand,K98 and Arisaka. Said they looked good, and I would get along well with his brother.0 -

Both my mother and father worked for the FBI. Mom during WWII for a while, before transfering to the Manhattan Project. My dad from 1941 to 1975. I can honestly say, "I love the FBI". [:D][:X]

A good friend and hunting partner of mine works for one of the National laboratories. I talk to the FBI every three years or so when it is time to re-up his security clearances. 0 -

Stress impedes my memory. Policemen and FBI are stress.
