A lot of Texans go to Ontario in the summer, a few come in winter to hunt ....

Generally, texans are not well thought of or even welcomed....Rude New Yorkers are even more liked than texans..least new yorkers for the most part are honest.

Now with that beings said, it was/is NOT my opinion of texans...so dont flame me...its the general feeling of texans in and around my home town...

BlackRoses: Interesting observation about New Yorkers.

Once while vacationing in the Maritimes, it was explained to us that the
folks from Quebec "hated" New Yorkers first and foremost - the the
English speaking Canadians ... thirdly, everybody else.

... for some reason, I never forgot that!

    Good one zip...
    [:o)][:o)]

I was speaking about Ontario, and from what others have told me, the feelings tend to be mutual about Texans in other provinces as well....English speaking Canadians dont usually consider Quebec as part of the provinces...[}:)]

Altho I don't currently live in Texas, I was raised there and consider myself a Texan. And I think it's just part of the Texan culture to be straight forward and blunt. Say what they mean, mean what what they say, and screw you if you don't like it. And in todays PC world,it doesn't always go over too well w/people from other more PC places.

I made the MISTAKE, of going into "business" with a Texan. (ONCE)It was a small BBQ joint, here in WPB.Big guy, with a big family(inTX)and a very small brain.Spent a bunch of money getting the building, smoker, kitchen, bar, etc. all set up.I procured a small warehouse bay to store wood, dry goods etc.Right behind the BBQ joint.Perfect setup....Right?WRONG!!!!DUDE had all the utilities ,cable, sat.TV,etc in his name.We did 1-hellofa good month, yet NOTHING GOT PAID!!!
I find "bent beer cans, foil, all sorts of "smoking parafernalia in the "wood-room"..[xx(]
Needless to say,it all came crashin down and it took me 3 yrs. to fix my reputation...
I've never had any "doins" with him, or his family(wich seemed to be good folk to me) since then...
OH... And to top it off, he was beatin the crapp outta his wife!!! and she is one of the most likeable, agreeable people i have EVER met. She was from Jupiter Florida...Man,,, i hate rememberin' this crappola!!![B)][B)]

Well "Booty", when a Texan is askin for help openin a bisiness, he ain't usualy gonna come right out and show his ass, right off'n the bat! I had known the guy, and his momma and daddy for over 10 years.I never lived with the jerk, but knew him fairly well(i thought) he never happened to tell me he was a fuggin crak-head.
As far a "poor judgement", on my part goes, you're right and wrong... I shouldda NEVER went in with the dude, just on account'a he was from TEXASS!![xx(]

    Jeff
PS. "DEBBIE" didn't "do" West Palm...She did DALLAS...I dunno what that means, but it sounds good..[8D]

I've lived in the north and the south. I'd rather be in Texas then some tree hugging northerneastern state.

Rather be in Montana or Alaska over them all though. [;)]
