I wouldn't have bought one even before that!
But that is definatly iceing on the cake to keep me from it!0 -
Everybody, including the U.S., engages in international arms "dealing", for Glock and Austria this is merely profitable business. Steyr is making sales to them also. I would venture to say that the U.S. is one of the leaders in supplying weapons much heavier than Glocks to some quite unsavory regimes, much of them giveaways paid for by our tax dollars. At least the Austrians aren't footing the bill. BTW, I've never been a fan of the Glock pistol. 0 -
Well, I guess we're going to invade Austria next, followed by Iran, followed by... 0 -
DITTO...

I have a couple and can't hit much with either one![:D] don't like that funky trigger setup. 0 -
Me, If I have to fight an Irainan, would not want him to be better equipped[;)] 0 -
This just goes to show that the Iranians have no taste in handguns.
(exits ducking to avoid the thrown tomatoes and beer bottles)
On the opposite side of the spectrum, I noticed while visiting family that the Harrison, Arkansas police have switched to using Springfield 1911s. True story.0 -

+1...and I'll be buying another Glock this year.0 -
it's the same story with all those millions of ak-47's. commodities are commodities, big deal. 0 -
What about all these other countries that are armed with American weapons. How many Americans have been killed or wounded with American made weapons? Plenty![:(!][:(!] 0 -
I like mine and plan on getting 1 or 2 more. 0 -
I'd be tempted to buy a Glock if it didn't feel like a squirtgun, and have a name that sounds like some sort of foriegn word for "excrement".

If I saw a G17 in good shape for $200 I'd buy it... 0 -
Glocks are the AK47 of handguns. Bury em in sand and they will keep on shooting. No wonder the Iranians would want them. 0 -

Their frames (possibly slides, not sure) are machined by IMBEL in Brazil, then assembled/finished here in the US--so, technically, they are still US made.0 -
Thats like saying don't buy a Mauser or an AK because they have been used "aginst" us. I have a G19, G21 and a G30 ... and if I find a good deal on a G26 you can bet I'll be buying it too.
My Steyr M9 is a good shooter too.

I have a Glock 26. I like it a lot. Very accurate. Sad thing that Austria's selling guns that may be aiming one day at us, but if they didn't, someone else would. Got to keep your skills and be a better shot. 0 -
