When President Kennedy was shot?
I was chatting to my mum, in the hall of our house, when my sister came in and said "President kennedys been shot!"
Any one else remember?
Proberly a forlorn hope, but lets not have any of the conspiracy theories here, start your own thread!

I was only 9 months old and unlike several here have no recolection of the event at all. My grandma was the Indiana Democratic Commitee chair at the time. I have several pictures of her with Bobby and John both seperately and together that are signed. Sad day for this country. Keep in mind that there was a good chance after October '62 that NONE of us would remember that day. I was not and am not a huge Kennedy fan (won't open that can of worms) but can tell you that if calmer heads (both American AND Soviet) had not prevailed...well, this thread would not exhist. Sting (of ALL people) said it best,
" I hope the Russians love their children too".0 -

O.K. , well , I was sitting in the middle of the front room floor of my great-grand-parents house (they kept me while mom worked) watching the while mess on black & white t.v. , just as I was instructed to do as a good little six (6) year old . My great-grand-father was a Big Kennedy fan , matter of fact , when this happened , my grandmother had to call some people & tell them that she thought that my grandfather was so upset that he thought he was having a heart-attack ? So , I do remember this mess ??? My (other) grandfather always told that he had the "second" rifle and knew "details" about this mess ???
GeeZ !!!!!!!

Senior in high school, sitting at home watching TV, when Cronkite came on with the first news. My father had just died a few days before and I hadn't returned to school. I still wonder what the world would be like if it hadn't happened. 0 -
