anyone .... need ideas for a buddy
i know i'm asking the same questions that a buuuuunch of people have asked, but i could use some guidence.
my buddy just interviewed to be a dunbar driver/guard...armored truck for bank deposit pick ups. he has to get his ccw in order to carry but he has no gun. i'm gonna lend him mine for his test, but with his first check or two, he has to buy his own. he's looking for something in a .45 or 9mm, semiauto. his hands are large but stubby fingers...he's shot the xd in 9mm and glock 17. he likes the 1911 with the upturned beaver tail. i have advised him against a glock because of one thing...when he grips it, his thumb ALWAYS hits the mag release before he even aims. what would be good to suggest for him? plus his funds will be severely limited...max might be $300...so something under that. any ideas?

that was uncalled for locust....but thanks. i try to help out anyone if they need it. i've know this guy for 4 years now, i was his boss at autozone. he's young, just turned 21, and eagar to learn like i am, but know to use baby steps when looking at something like this. the key is research. like right now, i wanna learn reloading. i'm reading everything i can find BEFORE i buy anything. looking at load info, types of powder, different makers of presses...everything. eventual i'd like to open my own shop, but that's at least ten years out.
