I grill, or use the smoker year round. I'm in Virginia, so not near as cold as your locale, but it's frequently in the 20-30 range.

yes, one of my favorite things to do is smoke in the winter. It seems that its easier to get the temperature that I want in the winter. Last year I cooked a pork roast when it was -5 out, turn out great in 12 hours.

Yep, we grill almost regardless of the weather, all twelve months of the year and we live in Nothern Indiana. I think the coldest we have ever used it was about fifteen below, but we have also bailed on occassion when the lightning got a bit much or the winds too fierce.

A fresh grilled steak in January seems to bring warm weather just a bit closer.[:)]

I'm a year 'rounder, plus the snow drifts make it easy to keep the beer cold. My wife's family from South Texas just shake their heads.

Whenever the weather is warm enough so I can. Hoping to be able to tomorrow. Got some Moose steaks thawing to grill for dinner if I can. If not will have to fry them.

I used to grill in the winter, noticed that it took a lot more charcoal (heat) to get the steaks on the Hibachi cooked - even rare.

    Um ... Yeah!
You mean there are people that don't?

Grilling is one of the sweet pleasures of life that shouldn't be reserved for only "nice days" ... As you may have found out, after being couped up for a couple months due to cold and generally nasty weather, food cooked on a grill is even tastier [:p]

Its kind of like rebelling aginst mother nature ...

All the time is good time to grill outside. Really doesn't matter what the temp cuz the grill stays hot. I do hate it when I run out of gas, its cold out , and I have to change the tank. Duck and goose jerky took a little longer in the smoker to do a couple weeks ago though because of cold weather. And you always have to have something cold to drink while cooking. Now I'm going to have to cook a couple Ribeyes today since we got bbq on the mind. Cheers!

My uncle in Minnesota does. I do, but then I live in N Florida. Hard part about grilling/smoking here in N Fl. in the winter is the slightly cooler temps, but mostly the wind. Got a greenhouse tho that makes a good spot to smoke salmon in though - no wind to worry about, so the temp stays nice and stable.

    Kinda what I was thinking!*LOL*
Had sirloin burgers 2 days ago, need to pick up some brats now. Sometimes when the weather is "bad" for an extended period and I'm jonesing for grilled food, I'll put the cooker in the garage to use it *LOL*
Got the jones today, cooked a coupla' sirloin steaks this eve, despite the "storm"Yummy!

At least once a week. Helps to have a natural gas grill.

How would you eat steak if you didn't grill?
