    I want one.

    I would name her "Susie."

Susie would keep the zombies away.

    Thank you.

Fossil from giant birdlike dinosaur found in china, adds to evolution twist.

Dinosour hunters working in Inner Mongolia announced wednesday the have discovered the fossil of an enormous birdlike dinosaur 300 times heavier than its closes relatives.

Dubbed Gigantoraptor erlianensis, the species lived 75 million to 95 million years ago late in the dinosaur era.The specimin was about 25 feet long and 11.5 feet high at the shoulder and would have ewighed more than 3,000 lbs.

    Such fantastic claims.
If you have any proof that time period ever existed I would like to see it, it would be a first.

I doubt that could ever get into the air, but perhaps it was a dragon?

RJ: seek your proof from the scientists that found the thing, argue with them, not me, I dont need to prove a damn thing, I just wrote it as it was in the news..I did not in anyway imply a thing about the time period, they did.

I would tend to believe scientist rather than you anyway..[}:)]They work with facts, you work with an opinion.[:0]

CP1: I've studied the issue and listened to their half baked science before. They date these fossils by the layer of sediment they lay within the geocolumn.

The problem is ALL of the Darwinian scientist/Professors deny the global flood ever took place. When factoring in the flood that left those sediment layers and formed the Grand Canyon (rapidly while the layers were still soft) this reveals all fossils to be about 4500yo.

This is not my opinion but based on science from a different body of scientist. For a more technical view on this take in some videos. Prof.Veith is a Professor from S.Africa and a former evolutionist. Dr.Gentry has published his work in Science and Nature magazines as well as with Los Alamos Labs.

Just for that P3 you get some giant oysters.

Giant Oyster Fossils Found at 13,000 Feet
    oyster.jpg

quote:Giant, fossilized oysters, over 500 of them have been found nearly two miles above sea level in the Andes mountains of Peru.

The bi-valve, ocean dwelling mollusks indicate quite obviously that at one time, despite the high altitude, that these mountains had once been under water-as would happen in say-a worldwide flood.

The fossils were found by Cuban paleontologist, Arturo Vildozola near the town of Acostambo in January of 2001. The fossilized oysters (Plagiostoma giganteum) reached a width of 12 feet and weighed up to 650 pounds.

The earth is over 3 Billion years old. The oysters found in the Andes were deposited befot the action of tectonic plates raised the Andes to their current height. Darwinism is a fact. You can call evolution a part of intelligent design if you like, but it is a fact.

All that is for certain from that is the oysters were once under water. You cannot rule out plate tetonics pushing them up from the sea.

I sure wish those big boys were still around.[:p] Bring me a gallon of Tabasco!

The natural selection aspect of Darwinism is a scientific fact. The classic idea of evolution is still a theory.

If evolution was true, which it is not, there would be literally millions of transitional species in the fossil record, such as half bird, half fish, or half man, half monkey. But none of these, much less millions of these, exist. The fossil record is just one of many examples proving Darwinism is a hoax. It is a theory, made up by one man, well before the technology exsisted to disprove it. Many leading scientists, including atheists, will tell you evolution is not feaseable. Evolution is like if a tornado went through a airplane salvage and a 747 jumbo jet magically formed out of the rubble. It is just ridiculous. All of the universe, and all things on earth point to intelligent design.

Oklahoma have you ever taken a biology class?

Either way the creature in the article is apparently one of those transitional fossils so how could you with a straight face say "none" of them exist?

I believe there are some things we as humans are not supposed to understand, for instance how old the earth is. The Bible tells us that when God made the earth He did it in a day and added different things on other days, to form a week, but did that mean one literal day. One day is not even one grain of sand in all the universe to an eternal being. The fortunate thing is that it really doesn't matter whether the earth is 4000 years or 4 billion years old, because I don't believe that question will be on the entrance exam to Heaven.[;)][;)]

just as an aside, this thread really illustrates what is wrong with conservatives/republicans. The right is as fanatically religious as the left it fanatically anti-everything. If the right would ease up a bit on religion, they could attract a few of the middle of the road and maybe even some lefties.

Really the religion issue is the main thing that prevents me from calling myself a conservative, although my views are conservative on everything but the religiously motivated issues (like abortion for instance).

Msut 77, I like You, we agree on many things and I respect your opinion. This is just where we disagree. I refuse to get into a 2 page discussion on creation vs evolution. It takes just as much faith to not believe in God as it does to believe in God. I just happen to have my faith in Jesus Christ. I'll be praying for you. No hard feelings. You seem like a cool guy.

Boy would I like to catch one of those giant bird-dinosaurs.
I would put a saddle on it and fly it around. I wonder what its rate of climb would be?
