    Looks like there are also some small tracks about 2-3" to the right going up and down.

    Canid without question...

    Domestic canids (dogs) tend to track right and left paws. Wolves tend to be similar to a fox and leave a straight line of track.

    Depending on your geographical location and the characteristics of the track... Anything from a large dog to a wolf. And don't discount a wolf because the local DEC says there aren't any. What they say and what really is... Well, let's just say that DEC isn't always on the cutting edge of fact.

    By the way, we don't have any wolves in our area. They aren't twice the size of the local coyotes. They don't have a different body configuration. They don't behave differently. And we shouldn't believe our lying eyes! Nope, we don't have the eastern timber wolf here!

    Of course we didn't have bald eagles until denial became futile. Neither did we have turkey vultures, nor coyotes, nor bear, nor moose, nor elk not too far away.

    OK, the moose and elk are rare visitors. Probably young males looking for a new territory and a bit lost. Most of the time we see a young moose making eyes at the local bovines. Sorta puts 'ol Buhla off her feed when she has to constantly worry about Bullwinkle trying to score with her.[;)]
