Spanielssells: Yes you can sell gun parts there but Ebay picks and choses what they want listed. They pull listings all the time that they don't care for. Even miss a few occasionally. Saw a complete black powder pistol sell 4 weeks ago. I was going to bid on a Thompson Mag Pouch, they blocked my bid and removed the listing. Sent me an email telling me it was against their rules and the governments to sell the item. I wrote and called ebay 3 times complaining about their stupidity. Then you bring in PayPal freezing accounts for both buyers and sellers attempting to do transactions involving gun parts. EBay and PayPal suck. Check out "PayPalsucks.com" 0 -

You don't tell all the story.
EBay yanks auctions in the hunting department all the time without LOOKING at them. They don't pick and choose what they want. Essentially, all you have to do is complain to eBay Trust and Safety (what a joke) about another member's auction. eBay will yank the auction, then they'll review it and see if any action needs to be taken. If they decide no action should be taken, you can relist it, but they won't put your auction back up.
90% of the time, you won't even get notice that your auction has been yanked. The 10% of the time you do, you either get a warning or your account gets suspended (mine's been suspended several times).
And yeah, when I see "banned" items on eBay, I put them on my watch list and I'm always cheering when they make it through.0 -
They are supreme hypocrites. Among ebay's prohibited items is a category generically titled "murder memorabilia", and they've pulled auctions that had to do with the Night Stalker, the Hillside Strangler, Manson, jailhouse artwork by John Wayne Gacy, even aftermath WTC items...but they chose to allow an auction for a window frame from the Schoolbook Depository Building because the free media publicity was too good to pass up. That and a giant commission fee, if the $3 mil bid turns out to be legit.
Now, let me think...wasn't someone murdered from that window...? Hmmmm. I know I know this one...0
