    Hmmmm. Just saying "beef" is a cop-out. Wyoming's National Lunch Dish might be the Steak Sandwich, which is really a steak with a piece of bread on the side. Or a thick and RARE hamburger, although Montana's small cafes may do those better. Rocky Mountain Oysters are actually known as "calf fries" in these parts -- leading to Pierre's leaving town as soon as he heard they were serving French Fries.

    But what do I really crave? Rhubarb pie. Chokecherry syrup. I could say "chicken-fried steak," but half the states would make the same claim.
