Cubs...get some Christian councelling...marriage is worth working for and it really helps...in more ways than one! I pray that you guys have many, many, many years of happiness together! I'm glad to hear she's coming home.

Put some fear into the young woman: Suggest that both of you go for Islamic marriage counseling.
Yes, tell her you want Sharia Law.

    Man, you are really evil.

    Cubs,

Glad to hear the good news. I typed out a long response to your post last night then POOF. Anyway, sometimes situations like this in life help us reevaluate our priorities. A similar situation to yours in my past helped me open my eyes. I hope its all smooth sailing from here my friend.[;)]

She called and is coming back. I told her that I am DONE with the stupid arguing and smart alec behaviors. She agreed. That was my main concern. Maybe god is working his magic.

bills of sale must also be backdated so as not to be transparent should the worst happen. I have talked to lawyers about this.....

BTW, we are getting ready for our SECOND round of marriage counseling. It WORKS ONLY IF BOTH PARTIES are 100% UP FRONT AND HONEST. Don't hold it back,..lay it out on the table and let the counselor interupt when necessary.

best of luck to you both

Amen to that! Marriage is never easy but nothing worth doing ever is.

    Good luck to you Cubs.

Forgive the generalization...my marriage, kids, job, and hunting are all things that are more fun and rewarding when I work hard at making them so. Not many other things are worth doing.

    consider scotch.

if she keeps leaving and coming back time to cut your losses and sever the relationship. Chances are its going to end anyway, why prolong the enevitable

Cubs - work for the best (counseling), but prepare for the worst. Do what dcloco suggested. I truly hope it works out for you, but I also can draw on my own experience and that of others when I say above all else protect yourself . . . my first ex taught me that the hard (very hard) way in somewhat analagous circumstances. If I'd listened to my lawyer instead of the ex, I would be a far happier camper today. Next to marrying her in the first place, the biggest mistake of my life was in taking her back.

Forget about consuling and work it out between the both of you. Only you and her can work it out ...no strangers involved at all. Hope all is well and best of luck, oyu can look forward to years of happiness like me 28 years this year and a lot of fights and BS but still there.

Ha, I'm not really overweight. I'm really stocky, just have an extra 10lbs in beergut. I play in basketball and softball leagues, and am a regular at the gym.

like others said try and work it out. But I have seen way to many people try to fix it by having a kid, taking breaks. It ends up just being a mess. If you tried to work it out and just isnt going, you need to cut your losses and protect your self. Remember you only live once
