Now she's coming back.
She called and is coming back. I told her that I am DONE with the stupid arguing and smart alec behaviors. She agreed. That was my main concern. Maybe god is working his magic.

Thanks man, maybe we just needed to shed the tears and think about the outcome of the dilemma. But thanks, made me smile.0 -
Get the counseling. If it got bad enough to separate, then you guys need a little help. 0 -
Cubs...get some Christian councelling...marriage is worth working for and it really helps...in more ways than one! I pray that you guys have many, many, many years of happiness together! I'm glad to hear she's coming home. 0 -

Cubs, I been divorced, got the mug and T-shirt as they say. Do your best - both of you - to talk about what's troubling each of you and then, with each other's buy-in, try to work on those things. Some sort of counseling may be very beneficial. Sort of a referee or impartial arbitrator.
The fact that she's back and that you're apparently happy about it means that you both have lot invested in each other. LISTEN! LISTEN! LISTEN! to what she has to say. And as a former "fixer" myself - big time - try not to "fix" things. Just listen to her for now.
Buona Fortuna to you! I hope you both make it work!0 -
Hope things work out for you!
My first two marriages were to drama queens, after the second divorce I got very picky and it was 7 years before I met Ronda.
We've been married 10 years this year and let me tell ya ... its completely different when you both are mature and want the same things out of life ... life gets good [:)]0 -
Woohoo!
I smell make-up sex![:D][:D][:p][:p]
Everybody has to blow off some steam once in a while, your young enough to find more creative ways than arguing about things that in years to come will seem so trivial, you will shake your head and think, WTH was I thinking?
Now get off the computer, set up the mood in the house, and spend some quality time with your wife!

Cubs - or she is coming back to clean out savings, retirement, etc. If you have credit cards, checking, savings, bonds, etc in BOTH of your names...have hers removed immediately. Just do it. Tell her it is spelled out in your will if something should happen to you, she will still get the money. Sell your guns to a friend. Same if you have boats, jet skis, etc. I guarantee you that she got some advice from somebody that already went through a divorce and "learned the ropes".
I cannot emphatically impress upon you to do this...but, please...just do it. Have NO joint accounts. Credit cards will be maxed, savings drained, bonds cashed.....please...just do it.0 -
Buy Dr Laura's books "The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands" and the new one "The Proper Care and Feeding of marriage." 0 -
Does this mean no more pictures?

Do what I did. Give her a divorce and then quickly remarry her for revenge. Ha ha ha. Now we have two and one on the way. It's great. Best of luck to you man. 0 -
I'm glad to hear good news. (Even though I was gone for the beginning and had no idea of what was going on with you....sorry.)
Now that I have been with Larry for what seems like forever....I look back and think of some of the mess that I used to be bothered by and it all seems silly. I once got mad at him because he cut his hair (and he never knew it.) I bought a VERY expensive purse when he bought a VERY expensive paintball gun....because we all know spending MORE money is always the answer.
Just try to think out things before you let it get to you.....does THIS REALLY matter THIS much....usually it doesn't and if you get past the first 5 years or so the rest is just as hard....heh heh heh.0 -

Don't know your relationship or conditions leading to the separation.
I belive in hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. I'm not good in handling disappointment; especially one of this magnitude.
Consider the comments of DCloco, above.0 -

Do consider DC's advice. I can tell you, from my own and other's
experience, it is sound.0 -
The key to a good marriage is easier, and harder than many can imagine. Simply put, you must realize that, everyone has a different opinion on things, everyone has feelings, everyone gets p1ssed on occasion. Communication is the key. When she talks, you must listen, and explain to her she needs to listen when you talk. Come to understand that while its true, she gets on your nerves real bad at times, you also get on hers. No matter how much two people have in common, differences in opinion will arise. Both must give when its nesscary. If you know your wrong, don't be an a$$ about it, admit, and move on. Even if she dosent admit her faluts at first, given time of seeing you admit yours, she will probally come around. If she dosen't, then she is no one you need be married to. 0 -
I Think you two lovebirds might be made for one another. [:)] 0 -

Good to hear she's coming back!! I agree with ECC. If you two are going to try and work things out, seek a pastor/minister that you both trust. If you can't agree on one that you know, just find one. God bless you and your family. Your situation is being lifted up to Him as we speak.0 -
.....through good times and bad..........
Best to you both.0 -
