Would you guys turn an illegal alian in?

If you guys knew of an illegal and you had been friends with her for several years, would you report her?

    First I would tell her the harm she was doing to my family by being illegal.

    Then I'd give her a week to start a process to become legal.

    Then I would report her.

    Compassion has its' place, but this ain't one of them.

    Comparing a mass murderer to an illegal alien? come on..there is a world of diff between the two..

    How bout if the illegal was a dr working in a hospital?...and yes its been done..

    A couple of "harm to the family" come to mind:

    1) She is flaunting the laws of MY COUNTRY - thus harming my family.

    2) She is absorbing resources(MONEY) that could otherwise be used in helping my Country(MY FAMILY)

    3) She is a CRIMINAL diverting law enforcement resources from their duties to their Countrymen.

    ...and many more things.

    No hesitation here. I would report him or her. If they want to come here legally, fine. Otherwise, they can go back from where the came.

    She came here legally on a one year work visa 9 years ago and is still working for the same company that she came to work for.

    In a heart beat. They are criminals who have no regard for our laws. If they want to live here, they need to come through the front door.

    It's a moot point. Even if you called ICE and gave them their name, address and phone number they would still take no action.

    Unless the person has already been jailed for something they won't respond. BTDT many times.

    She told me.
    She is not a Mexican that ran accross the border.
    She is a highly educated and intellegent lady that flew here in a Jet and has done great things in the field of Diabetes and anther ailment that I forget at the moment.

    She just doesn't want to go back to her home country and tried to get legal status before her visa expired.

    No, not to a friend. I could sleep easier knowing somebody was breaking an immigration law, than I could knowing that I was instrumental in getting a friend deported.

    I'd try to help them get their citizenship straightened out.

    I find it hard to believe she "illegal" after all this time ....For her to become "legal" its going to cost..roughly 5 grand, if not a lot more...

    There is the problem, just like most in this country now, they do not want to try and correct that which is wrong in their country. They (most) do not want to become Americans. We have enough non american Americans.

    Maybe this person does but, this is not about bending the law to accept those who we think are ok. This whole thing is about ENFORCING the FREAKING laws we have now. DO WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT LAWS THAT ARE ON THE BOOKS AND NOT ENFORCED????? Not enforcing laws invites more laws. Any questions?????

    I'd hope that my finding out someone was here illegally would end the friendship.

    I'm pretty ticklish about illegals and have been ever since those filthy Irish started stealing jobs from good, honest, hard-working Americans.

    Sorry reloader..that guy is an american citizen...but an illegal working and being a good person is more cause for alarm that some jerk that was born here??..he has broke far more laws that she did...

    Money isn't the issue - contempt for OUR COUNTRY and its' laws is the issue.

    SonDougII married Sandra - a German National and now a Naturalized AMERICAN citizen - around $7,000 for the process.

    SonSteve married Sarah - a Canadian National - into it around $4,000 and studying to become an AMERICAN citizen.

    Daughter Andrea married Garry-the-Brit - into it about $8,500 and legal - not certain whether he will become an AMERICAN citizen, but paying the costs to live here.

    Sometimes I feel that my family has the only LEGAL foreigners in the Country.

    None of my kids are rich, but they are good AMERICAN citizens, who know the difference between right and wrong.

    Why should we pay for the privilege to live here, and the criminal mexicans not??
