any real pitbull owner would never let his dog loose on another breed of dog or run loose. the dogs have become a fancy for thugs who have no idea how to take care of a dog let alone a pitbull

what if somebody started c&p'ing whenever they found a story about a young black man shooting somebody. 100, 1000 times as many incidents. wouldn't that make this stuff about pit bulls look pointles?

If pit bull owners had to carry a million dollars of personal liability coverage and suffered prosecution as if they, the owners committed these assaults, I suspect you'd see less unmanaged animals.

I'll continue to kick it. I want this breed outlawed and eliminated. No exceptions. I also agree that the owners should be held accountable criminally as if they had committed the crime.

I really don't have anything against the pit bull or other dangerous dogs but their owners need to be held accountable if they want to have them and not keep them contained.

They are fine also as long as the owner uses and keeps it in a safe way.
This is America, a free society, but you still need to be accountable.

preach and teach it to people yelling "let's ban and exterminate the "breed".

I have read the thread and I speak for myself, not the current buzz of any particular thread.
I stand alone in what I post and am hardly a follower.

Like I said before, I have no problem with the pit bull and the right to own one. I do have a problem with their owners being negligent.

mabye we should make it a law that you must sell a muzzle (trigger lock) with every pit bull(fire arm)) . or better yet mabye make it a felony to sell a put bull with more than 10 teeth!(10 round magazine)

or mabye we should just handle the situation like men and enforce the laws we allready have , instead of limiting the freedom of the responsable citizen!

pass one more law lose one more freedom.

My friends two 800.00 a piece Rottweillers were both put down by the humane society after they got out of his fenced yard and attacked a 68 year old jogger and tore his leg up bad enough to require a hospital stay.
Both dogs were captured and put down and my friend was required to pay the hospital bill.

Take responsibility for the animals you own, or pay a price.

Bwahahahahahahahaha,....I see the logic of making folks responsible,..but don't see it happening[8] My Rotty was a big teddy bear,..but he was also SOCIALIZED heavily during his first 2 yrs of life. He was always so glad to meet new people, they loved him after their first visit. He was often brought treats and such by company[8D]

Now to compare the Pit to any other breed, IMHO is rediculous[V] The breed has a propensity for violence and unfortunately, most people who buy them now, have purchased a dog with fighting somewhere in it's lineage. They have become just like the Golden retreivers were around here some 10-20yrs ago. They were inbred to keep up with demand (thus the genetic defects).

Sorry if it offends, but until there are severe restrictions put on Pit Bull owners,..this trend WILL continue. IMHO you should have to pass rigorous standards to be a Pitt Bull owner.

And,..I stand by my previous posts,...I see one in MY yard, with no leash/owner,...it dies!! I have kids to think about.

Just want to say to the guy who shot the dog going after the horse if that had been my dog you would have ended up with 8 rounds of 45ACP in your CBM.

I will trust any dog, no matter the breed, untill it gives me reason not to

I will not trust any man, no matter his race, untill he gives me reason to
