I was purchasing a Colt Python from a gentleman. We agreed on a price. He went back into his basement and produced a Nickel Colt
Det. Special. He said I could have it for 50.00. It came home with me also.0 -
Ruger Bearcat-LNIB $225 (seller "threw in" genuine sambar stag stocks for nothing--approx. value = $200)

The first was a Winchester 37 (fair) in .410 with red letters for $80. Sold for $350.
The second was a Remington 12C (poor condition) for $25. (priceless, refinished with my son)
Third was a Stoeger .22 for $75. Sold to a friend for $75.
Fourth was and S&W model 10 (90%) and a Colt 1903 (fair) for $450. Those are keepers.
Fifth would be the AR 180 (90%), serial number 2XX with original scope for $600 and sold for $1500. Hard to keep when money talks.
The latest would be Radom 9mm in 90% condition for $450. Not going to sale it either but valued at $750 or so.
Those would be the yard sale/garage sale/estate sale finds. There were a few others and I hope there will be alot more.[:p]0 -
I recently purchased a Colt Lightweight Commander, w/4 digit serial #. Slide has significant pitting and rust, and someone has tried to buff the black(?) coating off the aluminum frame, leaving it looking somewhat like a zebra. But it shoots really well, and I got it for $150. 0 -

S&W 4" 28 for $115. I tried to tell the guy it was worth more, I even offered to pay him more, but $115 was the amount of cash he needed and that's what he wanted.
Chinese MAK90 for $150 at a pawn shop. I figured for that price it must be rusty and corroded on the inside. I took it apart to look and the lady about freaked out. Seeing it was OK I said, "Calm down, I'll buy it."0
