    I'm not saying it's a sin - I don't care if it's a sin, or not, I am just
quoting the Old testament - written from God's word - and if
anyone wants to argue that, so be it. It was clearly written and I
agree - it's between you and your maker, the same as every other
    sin.

OK, maybe the limits of my talent might have still kept me out of the NFL, but we can still delude ourselves a bit if we try, can't we?[;)]

See folks, we agree more than we know. Let's just leave the bickering to the children, agree on what we can, and agree to disagree on the rest![;)]

    Absolutely - do it, myself.

Deluding all others - without consequences - is truly an art!

I'll start another argument. I think men who can't grow proper facial hair shouldn't try. All they get is a patchy unkept look that, again, isn't the best look for dealing with the public.

Fellows, if you can't grow a complete beard or mustache, please don't try.[}:)]

Some day Zipper, when you're out here in the Midwest, we are going to meet up and share a cup of coffee.

    I'm going to enjoy it.

We're east of you, and time starts a bit earlier.

    We've already had July 17th.

Sorry Zipper, I just couldn't pass that one up.[}:)]

Guess that means if you have lower arm tats, you get to wear long sleeves in Vegas in the summer.

THAT, my friend comes with the curse of the retired!

You know how some folks never know what DAY it is?

Well, I have to admit, there are times when I don't know/care
what MONTH it is - no kidding. Unless you're running out of it,
'time' is a pretty fluid commodity.

... I do it all the time. July and August look too similar to
me to tell the difference. If one were hot and the other
covered in snow - I probably wouldn't have the problem.

We'll be in the Chicago/South Bend area then for a couple weeks.[:D]

As a professional fine artist I like the idea of people celebrating art
in their lives or on their flesh if they choose. If its an expression
of who you consider youself to be, go for it. But by the same token
I would expect that those who defend such shouldnt have any prejudice towards individuals with tattooed tear drops or 1%'ers when they come into your neighborhood shopping for guns or "opportunities".Lets face it
prejudice prevails in this modern day lifestyle choice.

I'm a little surprised - quite often the bible quotes fly fast and freely on a lot of subjects.
I care noting about this issue but the issue is quite well defined in the Old testament.

The Old testament law commanded the Israelites, "Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD" (Leviticus 19:28). So, even though believers today are not under the Old testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15), the fact that there was a command against tattoos should cause us to question. The New testament does not say anything about whether a believer should or should not get a tattoo.

    2?

Zip...this is in direct refference to people who marked themselves for other gods. This was common practice during those times and people would tattoo or mark themselves as being devoted to false gods and God commanded the Israelites not to do this. It has nothing to do with the tattoos and tattooing today...unless you are devoting yourself to a false god, that is.

When studying Scripture, one has to read the Scripture in context...

'ECC' I also have tat's on both arms from top of my shoulders to the top of my elbow's. Your getting in a debate over a subject that most people won't agree with you anyways. Why waste you energy on this. Direct it towards getting another tattoo. [8D]

NUNN QUOTED = If I am hiring for the loading dock, tattoos and piercings are OK. For contact with the public, no way. Well there are plenty of cops down here in florida whom, have tattoo's. I have even seen a couple with a full sleeve on one arm. Just and F.Y.I.

I have 6 tats, but all of mine can be covered if I so desire. The military is becoming more strict with them, though. I feel sorry of some of those Marines that have the sleeves or any that are visible while wearing Charlie's.
