Help me with Crooked Unions
OK here's the quick synopsis:
President Slick Willy mandated all Civil Service will be under bargaining units/ Unions.
This is forced and you can not opt out.
We are a group of say 30 folks and all of the sudden this new brown noser gets hired and appoints himself....as our Union Steward. There was no vote. He claimed the title.
Shortly later he quits doing his work (he's a menial laborer) and volunteers for things to get out of work and has his nose so far up a military NCO's rear....he no longer has to work.
He got an award for civilian of the year and was sent for a week to....HAWAII with the military NCO to screw around.
Someone told me I should petition to be the new Union Steward. I wrote the petition and everyone signed it.
Now the local Union president does not wish to recognize it.
WTH???
Please tell me how to FIRE a UNION or it's UNION STEWARDESS.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

A Cease and Desist order from the President to stop the military from entering bargaining contracts with labor unions.

tr A "few" bad unions? He he, what, 10% good, 90% bad??? That is not exactly a reason for them to be around...the majority are bad, and add $$$ to almost everything the consumer buys.
Granted union wages are better than most wages for the same job a non union worker does, but that member is paying dues, and paying the added cost to the consumer items he uses; so the benefits are negated to a large degree.
...I resented greatly, the union telling me WHO I should vote for in elections...and it was ALWAYS to vote Democrat, course I told them to suck my little buddies...[;)]

Nooope. I brought up that Presidential Executive Order and was told.....read it carefully....Federal Agencies are allowed to IGNORE the Executive Order and establish bargaining unit agreements if they want to.
Therefor the Executive Order don't mean squat.
Everyone here signed a petition to replace our Union Steward because he's a crook, and today I saw the Union President. She said the Union Steward we have, can not be fired. The petition means nothing.
There haaaas to be a way to get rid of a Union over Federal Employees....I am in a DOD Agency that entered a bargaining unit agreement with AFGE.How do I use this agency to fire them or the steward from being a steward:

Colt, ya need to get a grip. All you recite is the worse case. As much as you hate to admit it, many would not have 1/2 of the benefits (union and non union) they have without unions. [:p] 0 -

By my calculations they owe you over $665K. There has to be an attorney who will chase after that rabbit, and run it down its hole.
I too am a DOD civilian employee, who by the way is getting sucked into the NSPS rating system kicking & screaming. The folks here can opt out of our union on the yearly anniversary of their hiring date.

Here we can opt out of being "dues paying members" but according to the Union "bargaining unit" agreement with this Federal Installation......we all are Union members whether or not we pay dues.
I wish they would contract out this job. Then we could go to the Dept of LAbor and make them pay Environmental Differential for transporting explosives....not that little 1.4 crap either.....it's $1 more an hour.[:D]
We'd also get a Health and Welfare benefit. Maybe I should be pushing for an A-76.[:D]0
