    I'm the boss, I always give a Christmas bonus based on the years sales/profit margin.

    I give a bonus to all full time employees for Christmas if the company has a good year. The amount is based on an unscientific formula of:
    Amount of profit made during the year.
    Years of service
    salary
    attendance history
    Willing to "go the extra" when asked during the year
    Most importantly general attitude.

    Bonus's start at about a weeks pay and go up. I also give 2-4 $25.00 gift certificates to everyone for the local butcher shop.
    This year they will all be paid days off for Christmas eve and Christmas day. And New Years Eve and New Years day.

    We got the whole time between the 21st and the 2nd off, when we were originally only to get the 24th, 25th, and 1st off. No cash, but nice bonus.

    My boss also gave each employee a goodie bag. She knows I make my own wine and enjoy reds so mine had a $25 bottle of Cabernet as well as some hot chocolate mix in it. Everyone got hot chocolate really, but she tried to taylor the more expensive gift to each employee's tastes.

    Finally we get paid on the 21st instead of the last of the month so we can use our Dec. check for shopping.

    No true bonuses, but a nice package in general.

    I receive longevity pay in every check, and can sell back my excess sick leave (over 1200 hours) at the rate of two hours pay for three hours SL. The check comes just before Christmas and is taxed.

    from 97-05 I worked as a burr head. Out of the 8 long hard yrs of work for that jerk. I was blessed w/ 500 bucks and had almost every christmas day off.

    Since becomeing a mouse pounder 05 to current

    Each of the last 2yrs I have been blessed w/ a check for 6wks pay and have had from the dec.24-jan 2 off paid.

    This yr has been a lean yr, no bonus yet. If not i will be happy to come back to work on wedensday Jan 3rd. There were plenty of paid days off (hunting,baby was born) this yr and next I will be blessed with the same.

    Friday is the last day of work until after the new yr.

    We get about 6-8% of my yearly earnings, depending on the yearly sales. Plus we get from the 24th to the 2nd paid. Pretty sweet deal.

    Used to get a bonus for the place I used to work at about 10 years ago. The anual Christmas party was held at work today,and I chose not to go.Not feeling very good about work right now so I just punched out at the end of the day and said see ya tomorrow. If I can`t go with a smile then I`m not going to go.

    we get paid for the day off and then get a bonus check equivelent to 2 days pay less taxes off course

    I normally get "tips" every few weeks in the amount of 400 dollars. I also get a Year end bonus of around 2 to 3 thousand dollars. Last year it was 5 thousand. No word on how much this year. Don

    Our year end bonus has nothing to do with Xmas. It depends on profitability of the company. In a good your for salespeople it's a percentage of margin. For administrative it's a one time time based on salary. For management it's a raise, unrelated to the regular annual raises in April.

    So you get time off with pay and a big bonus. I work in security at a county building so I get the day off unpaid and the day before I get 1/2 day unpaid. [xx(]

    We (Marvin Windows and Doors)too are based off profit. and you get according to how much you make and how long you have been there.
    our yearly meeting is Sat. so i won't know till then, but last year was $15,718,239 split by 3,504 people. 2005 was a bit over 50 mill. this year we are down almost 200 semi-trucks, So i think it will be about 12 mill. but we will see.

    well yesterday i mentioned that we get a xmas bonus worth 2 days pay, well we got it today in our paychecks and to my suprise it was almost double this year, sure made my day

    We have some pretty large government contracts (like the v-22). We don't get a bonus, but I get alot of time off work with full pay, that won't count against any vacation I have accumulated.

    If I wanted a bonus I would work for myself again. The place that provides me a job now is too stupid to pay anybody a bonus. They are stuck in the "back in the good old days" syndrome and going broke because of it.
