    A good bonus? Anything they decide to give you. Be thankful.

    Bonus? That just means I'll spare them a lashing during working hours on Christmas day and perhaps losen their chains a bit!

    I typically post this topic every Christmas but you beat me to it. This year business was very good at my firm, but not the record profits that we showed last year (2006 was a GREAT year). It is not the fault of our employees that we did not do as much business as I would have hoped for, that is the fault of myself and my two partners becasue we did not line up enough work, and there was no reason to have our employees take the hit in their wallet because we dropped the ball. Everyone gets a bonus from the firm this year. Typically this is a sum equal to 40 hours pay, but it is possible for an employee to get more than that if they work out of classification or took on a special project. We have three of our engineers who did these things and will see double their expected bonus. In addition each of my slaves will be getting a $100 Visa debit card from me. We have 40 employees and this $4K is cash out of my own pocket [:0]. Previously I gave out Target Store gift cards but several Gun Broker members suggested the Visa cards and I'll see how well these are received. My two partners will be making identical gifts to each slave. If you worked for me you'd get a weeks pay and $300 in gift cards as a Christmas bonus.

    Last year the partners bonus was equal to one full years salary [^] [:D][:p], but I don't expect to see that kind of money this year [V].

    We get a bonus every month, minimum is 100 dollars, can be more, Christmas bonus this year included money, champian, cookies for everyone to share, also a up for grabs is to 48" plazma t.v's. They say the names are thrown in a hat and two random people are selected. If I don't win I am going to consider it was fixed[:)]

    The only company that ever gave me something was my last one. 1st year a TC Black Mountain Mag. Poor lock and trigger plus it's a sabot gun I can't use in my home unit. Next year a Ruger MkII SS. After replacing ejector and other work it finely functions well and shoots good. Last year a Win 94AE in 44 mag. Has head space/lock up problems and came with wrong box. All three free guns that sort of work, I guess you get what you pay for. But other than his poor luck at picking guns he was great boss.

    Its regular $100 in recent years. There is also a july 4th bonus, which usually is in the $300 range. This year it was $450. Considering I have only worked for the company for 7 months now, any money will be welcome.

    My ex BIL, the last two years was receiving BONUSES between 15-20 G's.

    The last bonus I got was a turkey and the promise the company would still be open next week. The best was equal to 1 weeks pay for every year I worked for the company.

    Well that depends, are you the one giveing, or recieving? I am a public employee I have worked for the county for almost 20 years now and all we get is what they call an insentive bonus which is probabally equivlent to a weeks pay and yes they do take taxes out of it and it can be denied or prorated depending on different things, accidents ,injury, attendance,disiplinary actions etc...

    One weeks pay per year sounds GREAT to a guy who has worked at the same place for almost 20 years! Thats like getting a check for close to half a years worth of wages.

    Even though it was a Union job, my Company gave me three week's pay every year for the 23 yers I worked there. In addition, I made off with over Six Month's pay for an "Improper Firing" from an Alpha Henry Boss - got reinstated with full back pay, plus the vacation I had been paid cash for, was also reinstated!

    We got two gift packs of alcohol where I work(I work at a Wine and Liquor warehouse). Two 750 ML bottles that each come with special glasses or a shirt, etc. They gave us four choices. I took Jager and Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey. I don't like Jager, but I figured it will make a nice gift to a friend.[:D] Nothing over the top, but better then nothing I guess.

    Non-civil service employees get a sort of a bonus. The city pays them their longevity pay separately in one lump sum around the first of December each year. Civil service employees, of which I am one, have to receive their longevity pay in their regular paychecks.

    I get a $1000 Bonus for being on the HazMat/ERT teams. Went to the Christmas Party, open bar, prime rib, fish, etc. They give away about $2500. I got $50.

    Dad got a $14,000 bonus this year. 12k last year.

    I hope to get a little lovin as I work for my wife now!!!
    On the serious side I worked for the same franchise for 30 years but with diffrent owners. I have to admit I was treated very good and probably never really was appreciative as I should of been. I have gotten everything from a turkey to several thousand dollars but the best gift of all was the fact that for 30 years I was never without a paycheck. I guess some of the best ones that I now get are the notes that our guests leave in the room journals.
