Extended warranties suck for everyone except the seller of them!
Figure you know that now though![;)]
Eventually you will be taken care of,.......but you better make yourself into the "squeaky wheel".

TV has a one year warranty. We purchased an additional 3 year warranty. It is less than 6 months old.

Keep calling, and saying that it is unacceptable, what is happening.
When it gets bad, mention calling the BBB, or the FTC,.........usally gets their attention!
Read all the fine print first though!
    Good Luck

Why can't you load it in a truck, take it back to Circuit City, and DEMAND a new TV? If they won't stand behind what they sell for more than 6-months, to heck with them! If they won't exchange it, put it on the sidewalk in front of the store. Stand there with it and hand out flyers to everyone entering the store detailing your experience with them. You will either get put in jail or a new TV! [:D]

We bought it for Christmas. It was delivered, set up and they left. TV played for ONE DAY and quit. I called Circuit City on a Saturday and they had a new one at my house on SUNDAY MORNING at 9 am. So this is the Second 65" TV from them

They wanted to sell me one for my phone, I declined. Its not worth it on a 60$ phone to pay 30 for repair where you can get a new one for 60

Yes CC has a 30 day policy where they will give you a new one however many times is necessary,.........after that, your at the whim of the warranty.
I bought a 42" LCD from them around Christmas, to go with my old 56 inch ProScan.
So far no problems,.........hope it stays that way!

It is still playing but getting worse to stay on. Eventually it will quit. However I did my homework on the net. Mitubishi is having trouble with their 55 & 65" sets doing this problem. Had a batch of bad parts and got to replace them.

    [xx(] yup that suck's

My bro-in law has a 67" dlp, he had it for less than a yr. when the whole light genrator went. $1000 bucks worth of plastic and mirrors and crap. The repair guy drove 165 mile one way to look at it. He told us the Problem is the Manuf's charge the repairmen a small fortune to get trained to fix these new fangled high tech gadgets. the one's that have paid for the class's have more work than they can humanly do.. he was better part of 6 wks and 2 service visits later. before he got it fixed. now he tells me the bulb is about to go....[xx(]

Sure am glad it is him and not me.

My 52" RCA projection HDTV has been flawless for 2 years now. I still have 1 year on the warrentee as I was given an automatic 3 year warentee with it.

Although I am thinking of selling it to move down to a 42" as this is a bit big for our living room.

When I bought it I had a huge living room and it was about right. But when I moved here my living room was cut in half.

Yes, but you have seen my Living room. It is the size of a good size 2 car garage. I just wonder if this TV repair man really thinks he is going to take the TV back to Virginia for repair.. fat chance..

No, he wont take it back. but be damm sure he will have to wait for parts to fix it. first trip will be just to diagnose the problem, if he's any good he will be on the phone with the manuf. and they will send him replacement parts for what they think the problem on the first trip. if that doesnt work He may be able to fix it on the second. after seeing the inside of my brother in laws. i don't envey those guys not one bit. alot of junk stuffed into a little package.
kinda like a front wheel drive car

My living room when I bought the tv was about the size of yours.

But since moving here it is too much.

I definatly would be raising hell with CC over it!

Or possibly find someone to fix it and take CC to court to reinburse you for the repair! Just make sure that whoever you get is Mitubishi autherized!

find the air filter and clean it, it must have a cooling fan?
I've got a projector that needs its screen cleaned every 4o hour or so.

Well CC repair man didn't call in the 24 hours they promised. Will go by the store tomorrow evening and take all 3 promised confirmation numbers ( three missed appointments ) and speak to the store manager.

I bought a Toshiba comp. from CC several years back, and had a lot of
trouble with it. I live in the boonies and they sent a repairman out
to fix it.. three times. According to their warranty, after three
in home repairs, they must replace it. After several zillion hrs. on
the phone with them, I was still getting no satisfaction.
I piled it in the Jeep, drove the 150mi. to their store and threw it
on their front desk. Only then did they feel it fair to give me that
    amount of store credit.

Concerning extended warranties: I had an Hp comp., and bought a 5yr.
ext. warranty. I was used harddd, and bit the dust 14days before the
ext. warranty expired. They promptly sent a repairman that replaced
the hard drive, no problemo. that was through Staples, (who now only
    offers 3yr. ext. warranties).lol

65" Mitubishi.. Thank the saleman for talking me into the extended warranty.

It has been having a small problem. Tv will play and all of a sudden it will say: Airflow problem.. will shut off in 1 munute. Humm.. been doing it for about 3 months.. now getting worse.. So I called Circuit City for a repair. They set up an appointment for 12-5 today. Well not exactly.. I call the TV repair place and guess what? Never heard of me or my problem. TV man hangs up on me. Swell..

So I call CC again. Another Local Mitubishi Dealer is going to do the job. I get another confirmantion number from CC and the TV man will call within 24 hours. Well they just did.. Backed up with work for weeks.. really can't do it at all. Sorry. Hummm......

So I call Circuit City again. Maybe the third time is a charm. Not really.. Woman says she has another TV man who will call in 24 hours lined up...gives me a confirmation number .. This is really funny.. He is in Virginia. Virginia I ask.. Hell I live in South Carolina that is two states away. Woman says he will call and come repair the TV. I reply.. sure he will...[}:)]

You wont believe this but I had the same tv and same problem but from The Good Guys.called in for a fix the company came out removed the guts and said they will get back to me!6 months later nothing!
We are still trying to get the parts!2 weeks calling the good guys did nothing for me,they said the tv repair people is fixing it!Add 3 month more and finaly got fed up!Called the good guys again but refused to talk to anyone but a manager! He said to go buy a new tv and send them the bill!So my point is call the place you got it and
get the top person there and gripe!
