Wish me luck...
Tomorrow at 9 AM PST, my legal team goes before the Oregon Court of Appeals to argue my case.
We tried to disincorporate the city we live in, and the city attorney came up with a new 'interpretation' of voting standards. He said that for us to win, we needed 50% +1 of every registered voter to vote 'Yes'.
That is a standard never before used on any election in the history of the State of Oregon in any election. I refuse to see the people's right to the initiative destroyed, which for all intents and purposes, this 'interpretation' does.
We started the original petition effort almost 3 years ago, and the campaign, election, and resulting legal fight has consumed my life since.
I am ready for this to be done. A man with better sense likely would have tossed in the towel, but I am Swedish, just a tad stubborn, and I gave my word to an old friend that I would do this, so do it I will.
One way or the other.

Well...we got into them this morning. I had a bull bugle back at me and we moved in on him and then I started using a cow call. I had a whole bunch of cows returning my call, but I could not get anything to come in. They were as close as maybe 30 yards at times but the forrest is so thick and steep in some places that you cannot see 10 yards. We saw several moose and a huge black bear with her cub...I'd bet she was at least 500 lbs. I got back in around 2:30pm and I'm not going back out tonight...got a killer head ache right now. It'll be Saturday morning before I can get back out there. Thanks for the well wishes![:)] 0 -
Still sounds like a great day! 0 -
Eric, are you in a tree stand or ground hunting?
If your on the ground don't be afriad to move in on them, if they are inside of 50 yards then you need to press a full frontal attack. If they are not going to move to were you are then move to were they are. Just be ready to shoot very quickly.0 -
Agreed...be aggressive. A bull with cows will almost never be called away from them. Especially in the tight cover. Your best bet is to get him located circle downwind and the go right at him. 0
