Yah.......no one EVER attacks the muslim faith.........or those cow-worshippers the hindus, or da joos.......etc.

    Sheesh.

Why do Christians have such a martyr complex?

Christianity is so adamantly attacked whenever anything to do with it comes up...not just here on GB, but world wide. Christianity is the most attacked faith in existence. It seems as if most faiths get a free pass, but God forbid anyone bring up Christianity...or the Bible...or praying.

Have you ever wondered why this is the case? I believe it is b/c Satan is doing his best to try to attack and stop the spread of Christianity.

One more thing you may notice...most of the time, it seems as if the naysayers are the ones that are full of anymosity towards the Believers...it's almost as if hatred pours out of them...

    just food for thought.

+1 i believe they will regret their decision someday. i won't worry about it anymore[V]

One reason may be the bloodshed from spreading the Christian religion to every corner of the world ... something a lot of Christians seem to forget.

This is nothing new. It's been going on for some 2000 years, now. We've come to expect it. An evangelical's hardest battle is against apathy. That is, someone who doesn't care, one way or the other.

You are familiar with the whole Holocaust thing, right? 6,000,000 people dead, genocide, the whole nine yards?

Actually, I agree with you that Christianity is often kicked around quite a good bit, and that other religions often get a pass. I've written many a letter to the editor about that. None have ever been published.

However, I think quite often it's the behavior of Christians that brings on such ill feelings. Some Christians just love to shove their beliefs on others, and some just can't resist the temptation to try to make their beliefs the law of the land. The Republican party has rather sleazily used "Christianity" as a campaign platform, and it turns people off.

Is it possible it is attacked because of the hypocrits?...

Now without attacking or getting your knickers in a twist, here is what I mean...

Minsters, priests, pastors etc all preach on sundays how to be a so called good christian, yet they are out doing exactly what they preach against...

the bible is full of contradictions, tells a person to do one thing, then a few chapters later, something totally different comes up

I am only listing a couple of things, but for me one person summed it up really really well...

It was in yahoo chat, and the question was asked about doing something against the laws of the land....One person said ..."well I am a christian...I can do what I want because I am already forgiven"....
That attitude, that belief is so strong and shows thru all the time, and then when a so called christian gets caught?...ohhhhhhh forgive me,...I am only human,...I am a sinner, but a non believer do the same thing?????????...he is marked for life, pays double the penalty usually....its a double standard, full of hypocrits..

Muslims prefer to kill other muslims, except when they're too busy killing Jews, or Christians for supporting the Israelis, or killing themselves in the name of protesting the evil Israelis.

Total agreement with you on the hypocrites. Gotta love the one fellow in Colorado who went on and on about gays while visiting a gay prostitute. Just priceless.

I'm not so sure, though, that the Bible is really full of contradictions. If you accept Jesus as the new covenant and look at what he says, he preaches a remarkably consistent message. Sure, one can always leap back into the Old testament for some good "kill all the women and children" fury, but remember that Jesus said that such is all in the past and there are new rules.

I don't think the Jews attack Christianity like the Muslims do. Then again, look at the relationship that the Jews and Muslims share....

I never said it did...just shows itself more...

another example...what does the bible say about lusting after another woman other than your wife/...yet so many so called christians right here on the forum are the first ones to say "I could do her" and post porn...

Most of the non believers, agnostics, etc have studied the bible, been invovled in religion in one form or another most of their lives,,know the bible a lot better than some christians, yet are attacked when they say they no longer believe....I was always taught that as a christian you are tolerant, non judgemental, and loving towards ALL others, but that is rarely seen..

At this time in American history the tolerance of Christianity is at its lowest. The disturbing part though is that it is not being replaced by another religion, a love of another thing, or a belief or faith. Christianity is being replaced by a hatred of Christianity and a mockery of faith.
Also taking the place of Christianity is 40% of children being born out of wedlock in America because men and women are putting their own selfish needs ahead of the needs of their own children.
Who is going to be the guiding light for children and thus adults ?

People die over religion every day. Countries go to war over religious belief's. Christianity is not the only religion that is attacked. What do you care if someone doesn't believe in your religious belief's. Sounds like your feeling a little sorry for yourself to me. You just can't take it personal, not everyone is going to believe in your religious belief's. I think a big turn off is when people try to preach to you and try to make you see eye to eye on there religious beliefs. But christianity is by no means, the ONLY religion that is attacked. I think that if it bothers you so much, maybe you shouldn't bring it up in here. Just food for thought.

Look at the ACLU, their lawyers are predominantly Jewish. Their lawsuits also target almost exclusivley Christians

Yes, you are correct. Some of them are dying for a noble cause and some arent. Correct me if I am wrong though, but arent non religious people dying everyday over meaningless things as well ?

It really does not bother me at all...It just seems rather obvious that there must be something (IE: Satan) behind it. The fact that this is the case (the disdain and loathing for Christianity), in itself makes a case for Christ. Believers recognize it...I'm just suprized that more people do not.

Unlike the Democrats who believe the second amendment is not "the law of the land."

The Jews are God's chosen people and they worship the very same God (the Father) that Christians worship. It should be no suprize that they are attacked as well..

All organized religions are just selling real estate in heaven for what you have worth taking. Don't see where it is worth dying or killing over. Don't even see it's worth arguing over. Got to live in your own skin and die your own death no matter what anyone else says about it.
