At the bottom of the following linked article there is a place to post your comments to Mr.Zumbo, I didn't have time to read them all, but it sounds to me as if ODL is gonna lose a lot of customers over this one!!!! Including me. Be sure and leave the idiot a few comments!!!

Also if you would like to let Remington know what you think of their sponsoring Mr Zumbos's drivel here is a link to do so!!!

zumbo admits he is wrong on his blog. he just doesn't understand what he said was wrong and had to call ted to find out 0 -
Thanks MVP. I have been trying to keep this in front of as many people as possible. 0 -
He (Zumbo) has made an apology, but I don't accept it. He has already spilled his guts on how he feels about these firearms, and called millions of Americans terroist. Check it out and leave a response.

So..the fury over Zumbo is unleashed...the anger reaching into the clouds.
So...I wonder how many of those responding support waiting periods/registration/back ground checks....Project Exile...? Care to reveal to the world what form of Gun Control YOU support ?
And exactly how are YOU better the Zumbo...????..Since you only vary slightly in degrees of gun control.????0 -
Check out the post by the editor:
"UPDATE: As a point of clarification about this blog, it is important for everyone to realize that the opinions expressed here are Jim's and not necessarily those of Outdoor Life.
I've been friends with Jim for many years and have shared countless great times with him talking about both hunting and guns. While I totally support Jim's right to express his point of view-this is his blog after all-I don't happen to agree with him on this matter.
His position that AR- and AK-style rifles don't have a place among our "sporting arms" is not one that I personally, or Outdoor Life as a magazine, happens to share.
In the six years that I've worked at Outdoor Life we have never wavered in our support of our Second Amendment rights, which don't, and shouldn't, make a distinction about the cosmetic look of the guns that we choose take to our local gun clubs or into hunting camp.
That said, I don't expect every other hunter and sportsman out there to have a set of opinions that moves in lockstep with mine. So while I don't share Jim's view on this, I also know that he is still the same wonderfully talented and good-natured person he was before this post went up. For those of you who have followed him for all or part of his more than thirty years at Outdoor Life, I would ask you to bear that in mind before damning him with personal attacks.

I wonder how much longer Zumbo will be writing for them.0 -

What did Zumbo think would happen when he Slapped all Lawful Firearm Owners in the Face?0 -
I left Mr. Feinbo a little comment to, CTRL-F plumber to find it

That was the lamest apology I'd ever read. "I was tired and grumpy."
Well, when you're not thinking and you let stuff slip, chances are it's what you really feel, but are simply too tired to be polite about it.0 -
Pa:
You really got a poop storm going for this guy. He deserved every bit of it as far as I'm concerned.
A big THANK YOU to you for bringing it to our attention.0 -
I copied from the "comments" a list of email addys for the companies that sponsor Zumbo. I simply pasted the addresses in a "TO:" line of an email denouncing him--and respectfully asking that they "divorce" themselves from him. You can do the same, if you're so inclined. Just highlight, copy and paste the addresses below:
webmaster@outdoorlife.com, webmaster@remington.com, tommy.millner@remington.com, dawn.lorello@swarovski.com, sales@gerberblades.com, benglish@mossyoak.com, pstrickland@mossyoak.com, domain.admin@CABELAS.COM, corporate@cabelas.com, info@stoneypoint.com, hans@himtnjerky.com, kimberly@himtnjerky.com, connie@himtnjerky.com
BTW, for what it's worth, I for one DO NOT support ANY restrictive legislation regarding gun ownership. As far as I'm concerned, the Second Amendment is restrictive enough.0 -
I let him know what I thought. 0 -
Thankfully there's a new crop of Gun Writer's like Fortier who don't have an evil agenda... 0 -
Just read a post on another site that Remington is cutting ties with him "Accordingly we are severing all business ties with Mr zumbo and any of his companies effective immediately and will make a formal release tomorrow to this effect." C&p 0 -
I like that term 'Elmer Fudd'... perfectly describes some of the people I see on the range.
As for Zumbo... he tries to pass off his elitist views as being the result of wind conditions and a lack of sleep. Sure Mr. Zumbo... just like I suddenly feel that robbery is perfectly moral whenever the wind blows above 50 mph.0 -
Below is my reply to Mr. Zumbo
Your ignorance of the true meaning of the Second Amendment is shattering. The only weapons protected are those so called Terrorist weapons. In US V Miller the Supreme Court found that because there was no evidence that such weapons could be or are part of the arms suitable for military use that the 2nd Amendment did not protect them. (They were talking about sawed off shotguns) But what does this say of your 17 caliber rifle ? Or your high grade dbl bbl? Are they suitable for militia or military use. Your stupid comments have caused me to buy my final Outdoor Life as long as you are employed by them. WE don't need people wishy washy in their defense of our rights being set forward as the voice of the American Shooting public. So goodbye and good riddence

+1..the "divide and conquer" crap used by anti's...
What a fool...but I've heard the same crap from locals here who are on hunting commisions and roundtables..."you can't hunt with them (military style semi-autos), why the hell should anyone have or need one?"
If they don't know the answer to that question, they are fools, like Zumbo.
PS, I'm glad this will personally cost him $$$. Mabye he can go work for PETA now[:)]0 -
It looks like Outdoor Life had dropped him also, at least for the time being.[:)] 0
