    I still say it looks excellent exactly as it is.
    The grips are simple but fit the overall apperance of the pistol without detracting from the Engraving.
    I would have jumped on that for 600.00

    I have not seen a 1911 style that has caught my eye like this one has in a long time.

    That is a Very Cool Pistol.

    Nice piece. There was a woman sitting at the last gun show doing engraving on pistols during the gun show. She was quick .. took about 15 minutes and noisy with the engraver. Dealers were complaining everyone was around her table watching her do the work.

    a little overboard on the engraving ,but i like it. must take some skill to do that kinda work.

    as for grips i am a wood grip fan, go with some nice maple or ironwood

    Thanks and I did shoot it and man what a sweet pull, like butter but with a crisp snap to it.

    Kimber does make some rose wood grips that would look real good on tha one.

    I found they have them when cleaning my Kimber Ultra Covert. Had to dig out the special tool needed to take it down. Found a Coupon for those grips.

    My Kimber Raptor II I put on other grips, so I can save those scaled rose wood grips.
