What were YOU doing 25 years ago?
1982
I was married to my first wife, expecting daughter #2, managing a sales district in NYC and providing technical support for a very large OE automotive parts manufacturer.
What were YOU doing back then???

Twenty-five years ago I was riding a flat bottom LST in the North Atlantic participating in our annual invasion of Norway. Twenty-five years ago I had been married to my first wife for eighteen years. Still married to my first wife, by the way, but she gets ill when I introduce her as my first wife. Twenty-five years ago my hair was brown and my eyes were blue. My eyes are still blue. 0 -
I was 10, living in Houston and going to Welch Middle School. One of the worst years of my life. My mother had just re-married and from that point on she forgot she had a son. I was the fifth wheel until they kicked me out when I was 15. I will never forget the pain they caused me. Im 34 now and still cant get over it. (I know, too much information)
Ahhhhhhhh the 80's[xx(]0 -
Working as a Director of Finance for a 40 million dollar company in Los Angeles. Divorced and Single but living with a beautiful blonde streetwise chick that was in the process of cleaning my clock and I didn't even know it was happening.[:0][:0] Ah growth of the soul! 0 -

Been in similar circumstances...but I left. You've got to get over it...the bitterness and hatred will kill you. If you can ever learn to forgive, you will learn how to regain control in your life...good luck friend!0 -

I was in Junior High. My family had just moved from another continent so I was trying (rather unsuccessfully) to figure out how to fit in here. I was a good kid, if not a popular kid.
As an aside, I'm surprised at how many on this board are younger than me.0 -

That's ugly, dude. Sorry. If you're 34 and you can explain it that clearly then I think you're going to be ok. They're never going to make it up to you, and you might not (or maybe might) be able to forgive them. Either way, you have to move past them to make it work for you--and you might already know that; you seem to know what's going on.0 -

1982. At 27, had just lost my first wife and H.S. sweetheart to cancer. No kids, thank goodness. Quit a good job with G.E., went to work as a night auditor in a hotel and spent the rest of the 80s in a fog trying to get over it, but worked it all out. 0 -

In February 1982 I would have been just shy of fourteen. I would have been in my last year of junior high. Likely, I was busy playing golf trying to get myself whipped into shape for tryouts for the high school golf team.
I was also a band dork (I played trombone). Had no girlfriends, but probably stared a lot at one girl in particular (who I knew from kindergarten and lusted after until we graduated from high school).0 -
Left KCPD as a Dispatcher Training Officer went to work for Cass County MO Sheriffs Office as a Deputy 0 -
