IMO, car racing of any kind is beyond arduous for me to watch on TV, especially the NASCAR ones. Watching a line of cars go 'round and 'round and 'round a track a few hundred times is less interesting than watching grass grow or paint dry.
tivo or, dare I say, vcr but I don't think it appeals to the stupid is an accurate comment to each his own for instance I'd rather keep my money than fly around in airplanes[;)]

Not quite sure what you mean (see red) as I didn't say any of that but I was referring to the TV coverage of these races, not the events themselves. It's like watching hockey or basketball on TV. Nowhere near as interesting as being there to see it in person, IMO.

Recently; some reality tv cook show. Never watched the show. The advertisement teasers were enough to make me hate it.

Past; about 20 years ago my children were at the age to watch Barney on PBS. That song on the program could be used to torture people.

it was something p3 said "basically any spectator sport that appeals to the lowest common denominator-stupidity" I agree nothing like being at the sport in person. rather watch nascar on tv than to get a free ticket to ufc, hockey, boxing, soccer or tennis, except for those nice skirts some of them hotties wear, oh yeah![:)]

"My hamster also runs a circular track called an exercise wheel. I don't watch her run either."

Yowsuh! I would rather get a root canal than watch five minutes of nascar.

Five years ago Richard Petty was driving through Asheville NC on the interstate. A guy in the left lane wasn't going fast enough for him, so Petty sped up and bumped the guys rear bumper twice. The guy had the sense to get over, and his wife got the moron's tag number.
Cops ran the plate, and when they found out who it was, nothing happened. Petty told the cops, "That guy wouldn't have lasted two laps at Talladega."
Evidently Petty is the official state saint of North Carolina.
What is that on his head? It looks like he stuck his head out the window and a sparrow went SPLAT on the front of his cowboy hat.

to the tune of "Abraham, Martin and John"

    Has anybody here
Seen my old friend Dale Earnhart?
Can you tell me where he's gone?
    Thought I saw him a'taking
    The last turn at Talladega
With Abraham, Martin Luther, and John

    I hate Roseanne.
    I do not love Raymond.

    Senfield can live.

The CSI Channel and the Law&Order Networks are both overkilled.

What ever happened to the classic P.I. show.
