Shows you hate- or think are overrated, or fail
Here's my top picks for sucky shows that for some reason were/are runaway successes.
I Love Lucy- Lucy wasn't funny. Her neighbors and Ricky were. She was mean, actually.
Seinfeld- See I love lucy. Minus the mean part.
Everybody Loves Raymond- I may be nuts, but I THINK that when this show came out, it was just "Raymond." I don't like to be told what I love. Any merits of the show disappeared with this condecension. Even if it was a reference to the idea that everyone on the SHOW loved Raymond, it was surely a double meaning intentionally. Anal I know, but oh well.
The Peanuts- what a bunch of dour, boring kids. I don't think I ever smiled at them.
Woody Woodpecker- what a mean little cus. Not funny.
Hercules- um, the topics dealt with in this show had nothing to do with the Hercules legends/mythos. Call it anything else, but not Hercules!
The Muppets- how a show hit prime time about a bunch of overglorified puppets is beyond me. I have an Indie comic where Kermit gets eaten by a dog- and Miss Piggy, etc. It was great.
Monk- Glenn Beck said it well when he said that Monk was really good for the USA network- but compared to 'real' shows- not so good. People with OCD annoy me, and watching one on TV is no fun. I just want to slap him.
Law and Order- Good show. But too many spin offs and on pretty much 24/7. It got old.
What do you nominate? It can be either a true flop, or something you thought stunk when everyone else liked it. No flaming anyone! Just freindly opinions.

There aren't any new Westerns anymore, TV or movies, except for some gay one I have no intention of ever seeing. I'd like to see more of those Cowboy flicks.
Bad shows:
3's Company =(stupid comedy w/ same plot every week)
Rescue 911= (he almost died[xx(])0 -
I still LMAO at Seinfeld reruns......If you don't think that show is funny, then you don't have a sense of humor..... 0 -

Maude
Mary Tyler Moore
Rhoada
yuck!0 -
I can't stand any of these hospital shows...
ER
Grays Anatomy
Etc.
I think they all suck.0 -
Walker Texas Ranger has got to be the worst show ever.
My wife watches it every day.
Same plot same ending.
His wife/girlfriend gets in trouble he kicks the bad guys butt.
Every day show after show.
Every sit com is the same.
Take the male lead character.
Ridicule, belittle and humiliate him and the mindless drones will laugh at it.
I hate TV.

how does nascar appeal to the stupid? but you think laugh in is great? were you in an accident or born this way0 -
For all of the Prime time stuff now, would trade for the original Outer Limits, and The Twilight Zone. Sorry guys, have not watched more than 1 episode of most of the current shows listed. (As he carefully slides zippers closed on flameproof suit)[:p] 0 -
Anybody who hates on the Muppets is crazy. When the Swedish chef pulls out his meat tenderizer and starts bopping those little puff balls on the head--man, that's got to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I honestly laughed for about 15 minutes straight. 0 -

drugs will do that for you
But really Animal was my favorite. WOMAN WOMAN HUH HUH HUH0 -
Why the hell is "Mamas family" still on the air?
That was a god-awful show when it was new, still airs like crazy0 -
TG's rule of thumb.
If it's on, or started on, CBS, NBC, FOX or ABC than it's not worth watching.
Works 95+% of the time0 -

I had no idea you thought about me so much. Would you like me to send you a revealing photo enclosed in a clear protective cover?[;)]0 -
IMO, car racing of any kind is beyond arduous for me to watch on TV, especially the NASCAR ones. Watching a line of cars go 'round and 'round and 'round a track a few hundred times is less interesting than watching grass grow or paint dry. 0 -
