Domino's driver in Missouri

shoots and kills one of two men trying to rob him. According to CNN.com, the driver had a concealed carry permit from another state that was valid in MO, and was packing a semi-auto pistol. He shot and killed one robber and the other fled. A cell phone was found on the dead robber's person. When the police checked it they found the last number dialed was.....the Domino's where the driver worked.

    I worked for Dominoes around '90 or '91 as a second job. After paying for my gas at the end of the shift I made close to minimum wage or just a little over. Still it was extra cash and I had a wife and three babies to feed. Fortunately I didn't live in a high crime area. The only problem I had was kids ordering pizzas as a prank and not answering the door when I delivered. No tip and a waste of gas and time for me.

    reg price for pizza hut, most guys get 3-5 bucks for a tip, you get 2-3 drops withing a 15min radius yes it can add up, i had a neighbor kid that was making 6-800 a week delivering pizzas, right now i have a 60 year old uncle who knocks down 100 a night

    Must be on the Right coast, cuz in the middle it don't pay that well. I alway try and add four to the ticket and give two bucks cash. Know what the job entailed, know the miles it puts on a car, and how tough tips can be to get.

    A Domino's pizza deliveryman who shot and killed a would-be robber in Pagedale has a valid permit to carry a weapon and appears to have acted in self-defense, according to St. Louis County police.

    The driver, who works for the Domino's franchise nearby in University City, delivered an order at 7 p.m. Thursday to a phony address in the 6500 block of Julian Avenue, where two armed men approached the driver on foot and announced a robbery. The driver pulled his own pistol and fired shots, striking one of the men.

    Brian Smith, 19, of the 600 block of Ferguson Avenue in Ferguson, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Officer Tracy Panus, the department spokeswoman. The other gunman fled. On Friday, police arrested a suspect and booked him pending application of warrants, she said.

    Panus said the driver may have been fired at but was not wounded. She said officers found a pistol at the scene that had not been fired.

    The driver surrendered his own weapon and showed officers a concealed-carry permit from Florida. Panus said officers verified the permit Friday afternoon.

    Panus said Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch's office will review the police reports but added, "It doesn't appear to us that (the driver) did anything wrong."

    Local Domino's executives could not be reached for comment. A spokeswoman for Domino's headquarters in Ann Arbor, Mich., said the company was cooperating but referred all questions to police.
