It took Bush four days to offer condolences to the families in Red Lake over the shootings...

But he's already offered his condolences over the pope's ill health and probable passing.

    I'm watching Tony Snow's news conference on TV. It occurs to me that I've never seen Helen Thomas and HAIRY together. Kind of like you never see Clark Kent and Superman together. Coincidence? Anybody else ever notice that? [?]

    It's probably fitting that same sex marriage and the White House both run up a rainbow flag.
    It occurred to me today what has been buzzing around in the back of my mind for days. The connection between a rainbow and the other two is that THEY ARE ILLUSIONS.
    One uses light and water droplets, the others use BS and bluster.
    They all give the illusion of something real, but all are without substance.
    Something has gotta give or this country is going to be in a world of hurt.

    Long ago when I had cable and a zillion channels I tried to watch C-Span. Well I could not follow anything they were doing. I put this off to the fact I was downing many beers at the same time as watching them.

    Well I just figured out how to watch it on computer. But still have the same problem having a hard time fguring out what they are doing. But this time I'm flat sober.

    No wonder this country is in such trouble.

    1. The sport of choice for the urban poor is BASKETBALL.





    2 The sport of choice for maintenance level employees is BOWLING.





    3 The sport of choice for front-line workers is FOOTBALL.




    4 The sport of choice for supervisors is BASEBALL.





    5 The sport of choice for middle management is TENNIS.

    And....




    6 The sport of choice for corporate executives and officers is GOLF.

    THE AMAZING CONCLUSION:


    The higher you go in the corporate structure, the smaller your balls become.



    Observation -There must be thousands of people in Government playing marbles!

    It often strikes me as interesting that the people who are likely to oppose abortion are likely to favor capital punishment, while the people likely to support abortion are likely to oppose capital punishment.

    but yes your statement is true, because i support capital punishment, if you did something so bad we feel it necessary to end your life, THEN WE SHOULD, and save the tax payers money...

    But personaly abortion does not phase me either way. And I fully support the death penalty and feel that the apeal prossess on capital cases sucks! It should be 1 appeal and then you sit in the chair! PERIOD!

    Most of the argument against the death penalty is that an innocent person may be executed. And that is true, no matter how small the chance, it is possible. I do not believe that capital punishment is a deterrent overall, but the person executed is sure deterred from committing any more crimes. As for abortion, 100% of the babies that are killed via abortion are innocent, that is why I am against it. I would gladly agree with outlawing capital punishment in exchange for outlawing abortion.

    Very simple; Life has the highest value possible, it is priceless. Ending life is wrong. Because society holds life so dear you must forfeit yours for the most heinous of crimes, murder.

    I can't fathom the logic behind it being OK to kill babies but not Bundy.
