Very interesting,how many people would allow capital punishment by crushing of the head?Would it be called cruel and unusual punishment if an adult were killed in such a manner?So many people are worried about killing an innocent person, are all babies killers? 0 -

Actually, it winds up costing taxpayers MORE to execute someone than to let them rot in jail.
I'm against abortion but I'm pro-capital punishment. Abortion 100% of the time kills innocent life. Capital punishment does not.0 -

That is an interesting observation HeDog. I've considered that myself. All Christians that I know oppose aborting a baby, for that reason. We see him or her as a baby. As for death penalty, I personally dont like it, but am not unilaterally oposed to it. To me the baby part is simple, the baby is innocent. As for, say the child killer, he has made a choice in life that will have dire consequences. Possibly the death penalty. Its very difficult at best, but I would say the dichotomy is the innocent unborn and the guilty adult with free will. But again I'll say that the death penalty is a very diificult subject with two very distinct sides, both having their merits.

Everyone has their own belief system on when a fertilized egg is considered a baby. I believe that they are not considered babies until they have a developed brain.
This too can be considered a different topic as well as abortion & capital punishment being two seperate topics.
I kept myself from having an unnourished and underdeveloped baby with medical problems, which would not have been adopted by anyone. With being homeless at the time, there would have been no insurance to care for an underveloped baby with medical problems and have costed the taxpayers thousands of dollars to care for in some state hospital for the mentally challenged for the rest of it's natural life. This would not have been my choice with the pain and agony on my own mind that I would have let myself have a child and put into this environment. I looked ahead and saw disaster for an unborn fetus.0 -
Phatbassturd: you are still incorrect. DNA is NOT available for all capital punishment cases. DNA evidence is a relatively recent technology and there are people on death row that have been there for decades. Their cases were never tried using DNA evidence and there is no DNA evidence available now to prove/disprove their guilt or innocence. So, when/if they are actually executed, there is always a slight chance that they are actually innocent. Even with modern cases, there are lots that have no DNA evidence, the thought that they do comes from shows like CSI where EVERY case has DNA evidence. In fact shows like CSI are now influencing juries to the point where the juries think that EVERY case must have DNA evidence to be proven. And I personally know of one criminal justice professor that actually tapes CSI and uses it as a teaching tool in her classes, as an example of how real life investigations must be done. I have seen her do it. That is how ridiculous the DNA/TV cop world has gotten. 0 -

I think the CSI/Cop shows on television today are a great way for public knowledge on what to notice as a witness if a crime is being commited. If more people would notice, and if they actually came forward, there would be more correct convictions. There are a lot of crimes commited when people take a blind eye and act as though they saw nothing.
It also makes the local Law Enforcement to be more on their toes for such crimes for the public knows what they are supposed to be looking for so the Law Enforcement really have to do their jobs now. (For those in crime, shows them what not to do.)0 -

Not every case has DNA to test, thus you make the case via other means. It is very possible for a suspect to murder a person without leaving any of his DNA at the scene. It will never be possible to say that 100% of the people on death row are 100% absolutely guilty. 0 -
