Half Time Show

Good to finally see a decent half time show instead of a boy band or Aerosmith singing "walk this way" with whomever is popular at the moment...

    Knock the talent all you want...I've been to alot of concerts in my time, from pop (Prince) to rock (Journey, Styx, Floyd, Grateful Dead, AC/DC, Steve Miller Band) to hair bands (Poison, Def Lepard, Warrant)...
    I was "coerced" into going to a Prince concert by the wifey a couple of years ago and was by far the most entertaining show I've ever seen.

    It certainly was a celebration of "black history month".
    Prince hasn't even been lukewarm since the late 70s.
    Halftime entertainment has generally been substandard for several years now.

    I'm not sure what he's done lately, but I also don't think he was even on the radar in the late 70s. He wasn't big until the late 80's. And at that point, he was very, very, big.

    No bull...but wait until you go to a Big and Rich show. These are, THE BEST showmen I have seen in 25 years. No, I was not under the influence of anything. The gents brought the house down...repeatedly.

    blue man group CANT be beat for entertainment. bar none...the wildest time in concert in history. THEY ought to do a 1/2 time show!

    Anybody else ever seen Dr. Hook ? I saw them back in the 80's and they put on a great show. I've seen several different shows but they really got into entertaining the people.

    knock prince all you want, he is laughing all the way to the bank, his real talent lies behind the scenes, he owns the rights to many songs, and has written many more, he like Kevin bacon is to Hollywood, he has his hand in a bit of everyones pie

    My 18 year old daughter loved the show. I found it a good time to take a break and use the toilet. If the trend is to drag out has-beens then I'll expect to see Peter Frampton and Andrew Dice Clay next year.
