Deer rifle ?

Ive been deer hunting with an old Russian SKS-45 for awhile now and want to get a decent scoped rifle in either .270 or .308.
Would like to hear some ideas on what your choice in a deer rifle is.[:)]

    I really believe one would be hard pressed to beat the 30-06 for the all around big game rifle. And with the right loads long range varmit hunting. Although the .308 and the .270 are both great deer rifles as well. My 2 cents!

    I have hunted with a .270, .308, and 30-06. They are all good guns. I suggest going to the range and see wich one you lik best.

    Browning now supplies all BOSS rifles with a ported or conventional BOSS. These are sweet rifles!

    You know I noticed that a couple of years ago. Every one with a BOSS that I sold had a CR with it. Makes sense to me.

    Whatever you get, take a look at the Remington 700 LSS black laminate. Most places have them on clearance now, but they are beautiful.
