What's everybody watch on tv these days?
I recently said I'd get rid of the tv if it wasn't for the wife but I guess in reality, we do get our use out of it.
I give the big 3 networks my ratings once a week. I'm not the type that is easily entertained by tv shows or sitcoms or that wants to spend my time watching them. That being said, the three shows I really enjoy and all I watch religiously in a given week:
Monday night: 24. This is the first season I've watched and it has been an action packed, entertaining show to say the least. One of the fastest hours in television. Haven't missed more than one or two episodes.
Wednesday night: Lost. Don't know who else follows this show but we've been hooked on it since episode one, 3 seasons ago. This one, I've missed one or two episodes in 3 seasons. I've never watched a show more complex than this. You have to watch the whole thing to know what's going on and I anxiously await the conclusion. Which apparently we'll have to wait another 31 episodes for. Just a good, complex, fictional, yet mostly realistic type program, with a lot of twists and turns. Some fantasy thrown in along with occasional dry humor. Great characters, great acting. The character interaction is believable and many times humorous. IMO, this is the best tv series of all time. You never want to miss next week's show.
Thursday night: The Office. When this first came out I wasn't ready for it. I hadn't watched a show quite like it and was reluctant to start watching a new comedy sitcom, especially like this one. I didn't think it would be funny.
Then I gave it a chance, and it truly is one of the only shows I can laugh out loud over. Now that I know the characters and know what to expect out of it. No laugh tracks, no studio audience. Just perfect sarcasm, awkward moments of silence and hilarious stereo types with a perfect cast. Maybe not everybody's type of humor but it does it for me. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

The more channels there are the less there is to watch. If you think about it, it makes sense. The audience is so fragmented that they can't afford to put on any decent probrams. 0 -
It is all about Sopranos 0 -

I've pretty much written off network tv. With so many more (and better choices) I don't see the need to ever watch what they offer again.
Mythbusters
Military Channel
Discovery Times Channel
History Channel
National Geographic Channel
FX (The Shield)
movie channels (encore)
That's about my list right there.0
