NEED ADVICE

needmyguns
Won an auction for some ammo and sent money order.Guy tells me two weeks ago it was on it's way.No ammo.Now not answering phone or email.Under $100 so cannot file fraud claim with GB and authorities say it would be months before they can do anything.I guess leave bad feedback and live with it,but after almost 2 months of lying and being ignored I want blood

    I had to cut some trees down near my house. Well i have a stump left about a foot high. I dont really want to dig it up. I know of a stump grinder, but i was wondering if it is possible to burn it out?[:D]

    here it is. im late 20's. married 2 1/2 years. i love my wife, i really do. the thing is.. my first true love from high school has moved back into the area. i have always loved her, thought about her at least once a week. what do i do? im still in love with her, despite the years, and it appears she also has feelings for me. help.

    I recently purchased a gun on the auction side. It was a Military 1911 and was described as being in great condition and all correct. The seller also put in his ad that he had years of experience authenticating collectible guns and mostly military guns. The seller had 240 A+ feedback and had in there that there were no refunds unless grossly misdescribed. So, I went ahead with the purchase and it was for a lot of money, or at least to me, $4600. I received the gun yesterday and it is clearly refinished. So I call the seller and tell him I need to send it back and that it is refinished. He says that he did not say it was not refinished. He goes on to say that he did not comment on the originality of the finish and that he stands behind his description. It was pretty clear that he wrote his ad knowing full well the gun had problems and was careful how he worded it. We argues for about 15 min and he said he would think about taking it back, but it was not likely. So, do I contact GunBroker? Should I dispute the charge with my credit card and sent the gun back to him? Or do you think I should go the legal route and get an attorney involved? Or do I take it on the chin and never buy a gun again online?

    ok here is my problem,i got a possible pinched nerve in the back.been off work for 2 days.went to doc he said for now just excersise and wait awhile for results.well thats all fine when im on pain meds.but i got to go back to work i live paycheck to paycheck.got wife 3 kids to support.i drive a truck and it kills my back i dont think i can get payed medical leave.or savings and the pain of driving dam near brings tears to my eyes.so can anybody tell me what should i do should my employer pay me any kinda medical time off ?????????

    Well found a guy selling a Ruger M77 Mark II 7mm rem mag, SS with laminate stock No Scope. He wanted 600 and I was around 400. He said he would take 500. Is this a fair deal? He said it has had three previous owners who he knows have shot it very little and it is in like new shape.

    PS: if the seller is also a member here dont be offended by my asking.

    Is it workers comp? If so you will not lose wages while recovering.

    A pinched nerve is no joke.

    Do what the Doctor says to do. BTDT.

    As a side note; I tend to stay away from Chiropractic. After working with the for 20 years I have come to the conclusion that a large percentage of them are dysfunctional nuts. It is hard to find good ones.

    WOrkers Comp. Dr's SUCK. I went to one 10 or so yrs. ago.The guy charged the Co. i was working for for all kinds of tests and X-Rays, and all he really did was LOOK AT MY BACK,TAP ON MY BACK and give me a prescription for ASPRIN!![:(!]

    this gradully came on but im sure it was job related all the years of bouncing my ass around in the truck..so job related yes.did it happen at work.well not at a percise time..

    ...That's the pickle I'm in. I was too honest, and told everyone the truth. Now, workers' comp says it's a "degenerative" problem, not work related. Um, I worked at the same place for over 30 years, so what degenerated my back? Best you can do is decide on a specific date and time when the pain became unbearable. During work hours, of course. Good luck.

    Unlike BPost, I see a chiropractor from time to time.
    He is not a "kook" though, and doesn't claim to be able to cure diseases by manipulating your spine!
    He has kept me moving many times.

    Your filing a claim is not dependant on your boss in the least. You file the claim with the health care provider. It is up to your boss to accept it of fight it. It can be a major pissing contest. Workers comp claims can increase the insurace cost for your boss.


    If you can't work due to degenerative processes in the spine then you may actually need to seek advise of a SSI disability Lawyer. Most SSI disability claims for back issues are made by folks too damn fat,lazy to move. They eat 10,000 calories a day and wonder why they can't walk into WalMart for more cookies.

    I do not wat to leave the impression that I am dissing the Chiropractic profession. My beef is there is no standards of training and conduct that protects you from the nut cases out there.

    ...It has nothing to do with blaming or suing your boss. I made it clear from day one that I held no ill will toward the company or boss. I even wrote a letter to be read by the board of directors (I know them all) thanking them for providing me with a living all these years. My beef is NOT with the company, but with the workers' comp insurance company and their hired quacks. Your boss should understand that, as well.

    My dad has Syatica and the doc wanted to operate, but one of his friends is an NP and perscribed him 800 mg's Ibprophen three times a day. after 3 or 4 days you can go back to twice a day as it is more a maintence doesage. You can use the over the counter stuff just have to take 4 pills at a time instead of 1. If you can get to mexico you can by 800mg pills over the counter. canada too.
    He has been good to go since. and not been back to the doctor for nearly 2yrs. he has good and bad days. but mostly good

    I agree,.......that is 8 otc pills a day! Hope he doesn't drink.
    Also I believe I have read that even Ibuprofen used often, increases your risk for cardiac issues.
    Guess you have to do what you have to do!

    Don't know if this may apply, but I'll throw it out here.
    I suffered from back pain for many years. Came and went. But when it set in, it lasted anywhere from a few days to several weeks. And all but immobilized me.
    Spent alot of money on doctors and chiropractors and had several different diagnosis. All back related.
    Did I mention I was also a heavy beer drinker during this time?
    Moral of the story: When I eventually quit drinking, my back stopped hurting. I'm no doctor, but IMO the problem was most likely my kidneys.
    I'm not saying you are drinker, but maybe it's not your back.

    no i dont drink,the doc already determined mine is pinch nerve possible bulging disc,took 800 of ibuprofen didnt help take 2 vicodein at a time.it cuts down on the pain alot but as i told the doc i need it fixed if possible.covering up the pain is just stupid in my opinion.
