11-year-old boy dies after being attacked by a Pitbull
Killeen, Texas
An 11-year-old Killeen boy was killed by a Pitt Bull Tuesday night, his family's pet.
Police said it happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Fairline.
According to investigators, Seth Lovitt was attacked inside the home while playing with his brother.
"The 11-year-old and 9-year-old children were running through the house yelling at each other between the 900 block of Fairlane.
Apparently a Pitt bull, which is a family pet, came off the couch and attack the 11-year-old," Carroll Smith with the Killeen Police Department.
Police said the boy was tossed to the ground and bitten several times in the neck, before his mother and grandmother were able to pull the dog off him and call 911.
He was pronounced dead at Darnall Army Medical Center. The dog is now in quarantine.

Children make high-pitched noises, especially when excited and playing. High-pitched noises can excite the predator instinct in dogs, especially the more primitive breeds, and they will attack. 0 -
I'd be inclined to buy a can of BEAR spray. Your gonna want to give them an "educational" dose.
All dogs can attack however many have the potential to do much more damage than others. Pits and Rotties rank at the top of that category.0 -
