Has anyone here ever seen this movie? As a kid I watched this movie regularly. I watched it last night and was thinking that an invasion from the south by Mexicans, and Venezuela, and whatever other countries would join, along with the already huge population of illegal aliens already here, they could probably put up a good fight. If our guns were banned, they could for sure. This is purely theoretical, but have any of you thought about this? Very few Americans are gunslingers like us. 0 -

great movie. when it came out i was like 12 years old and immediately started preparing for a soviet invasion. I organized about 5 of my friends into an "army" and we had 6 rifles and plenty of ammo. we had battle plans and bunkers and we were prepared for war. the invasion never came. but now there is a mosque down the street and a broken border 2 hours away. who is the real enemy now ? 0 -

So if you like the theme or the scenery, you should enjoy the medium regardless of the quality or you are a negative thinker? Tell you what, I'll draw a couple of pictures of your favorite scene or area for you and you pay me several thousand dollars each for them regardless of the fact that I have zero artistic talent. I liked the movie. It is a thought provoking premise. A nation is invaded and seventeen year old kids pick up guns and fight back.

I saw the movie was on as I was doing laundry [ it was on several days ago and I taped it then,YES I SAID TAPED AS IN VCR!] and posted the thread when I went back to read it I saw 2 post on it and thought WTH then realized someone else had posted, yeah some of the acting left a little to be desired but it makes ya think, unless you're one of them appeasment at all cost let's give up freedom for security whining socialist bleeding heart maggotts!0 -

Generally speaking, I'm NOT a negative person. Yes, Red Dawn WAS an entertaining movie until TBS, USA and whatever channel(s) started showing it 3 times per weekend, back-to-back-to-back, etc. I'm just tired of seeing that's it's airing AGAIN, and AGAIN (ad nauseum)0 -

I know that for sure because it was stated by the "True Believers" here, and only they can be correct about the film quality of this epic production. It's even better than Billy the Kid vs. Dracula and Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter.
Those are real movies by the way.[:D]
The sad thing is that there are actually people who believe that your evaluation of the QUALITY of a film production decides whether you are a "REAL" American or not.0 -
