It was probably the best movie Charlie Sheen ever did. Now that Patrick fellow was pretty good in Next Of Kin.

Wow, that might be like listing the most successful marriage of Elizabeth Taylor![:D][;)]

There you go again. Now Elizabeth Taylor is a bad example of your ideals; and just because she may have liked to make men happy on their wedding night---so she did it for several of them. How nice of her![^]

She was married eight times to seven different men, and that's not much of an example of my ideals. I'll be married to the first wife thirty five years this fall.

The movie was cool at the time. I was a kid. By the time I was in 6th grade I was convinced that it was my duty as an American to kill a Russian on sight if I saw one. I never knew that I would, in the future, have a roommates from Russia and Bulgaria and would eventually date an absolutely beautiful sweetheart from Azerbaijan(sp).

Anybody staring at the TV screen expecting any real quality will be disappointed, including NFL fans today.

As regards the ocular dope on TV, "Red Dawn" is around the 49th percentile.

Excelent movie! I caught it in hi-def a while back. It really brings the pic out for it and gives it a whole other feel.

It was a lot better when I was in my early twenties.

When it came out it was better because it was a true possibility.

Today the ruski's could not get that kind of operation together.

...true...but then....a LOT of things were better when one was in their 20's; then again...only some things just get better with age [:p], uh, er...like fine wine.

git'r yep, I was raised with "duck and cover",which considering the position, I think it put you in the correct physical position to kiss your azz goodbye...and commie pinko's were a real threat...and still are. Don't believe it?...just look at the dim-o-craps and their socialist agenda...[;)]

And I'm too old to do anything but climb the Washington monument and pick the commies off at 4.5 miles with the .50 BMG I steal from one of their minions.

IIRC it was the Cubans. A couple Russki advisors but spishanics.
