WORST ShotGun You...
...ever owned, "worst" for any reason.
I realize their are lemons in any brand, but fairly rare, usaully the entire line of a brand is poop.
My worst was a NIB Franchi, forget the model. Nice semi 12g. light weight, great furniture, engraved reciever...looked like all you had to do was take it afield with you, open the case and the birds would just fall from the sky.
... WRONG! Never a malfunction, but could not hit ANYTHING with that gun! [:0] Always carry at least 2 shotguns when hunting (dove, quail) and went to shotgun #2, on several occaissions because of that Franchi.
Met a guy that had bought the same model, he had the same problem...no hittie anything, always went to one of his bk/up shotguns too...and did fine...just as I did...sold that chump!...[;)]

Browning BPS 12 gauge. I bought it as the Buck Special with an extra 28" barrel. As a deer gun, EXCELLENT. I couldn't hit a thing with it as a bird gun.
I also had a 20 ga. Browning Citori that i couldn't hit a thing with. I sold it to a buddy 25 years ago and I don't think he's ever missed with it!!

Must not of fit right.
I have shot quite a few but it is in the air between An old H&R pump and the speigel i hunted with. Neither were terible firearms just older. The H&R had a screw clap to hold the stock together that was always interesting.0 -
20 ga Remington 870, NIB.
If it didn't fail to extract, it failed to eject. Sent it back, they "fixed" it...for about 20 rounds. Started doing the same thing all over again. Sent it back...again. They returned it...and it failed, again, on the 3rd round. Wanted to wrap it around a tree...
Got rid of it for a Mossberg 500, never had a complaint with it (OK, the safety detent broke (after hundreds of rounds), but less than $10 in parts from Brownells got it replaced with a 590 safety, and no more problems).
I doubt I'd ever own another 870.0 -
I have only had 3 shot guns. All mossburgs.

My worst was a Ithica deerslayer 12 gauge pump that I did wrap around a tree after missing 3 bucks on opening morning of deer season. I hope it still layes in the woods somewhere's in upstate NY. 0 -
I don't really have extensive experience with shotguns. My best is a Franchi, which does all that Colt's would not. I guess the worst I ahve shot have been every LC Smith I have shouldered. I love them, but not one fits me worth spit. 0 -
yea another ithaca md 37 12ga,after shootin at a small buck and missing i pulled up to shoot again and it slam fired on me busting my nose and watering my eyes,come to learn later to keep my finger out of the trigger guard until the gun was on my shoulder,went on to kill several deer with it though after i got a little older was only 13 when it happened,my fault i guess not the guns,sob kicked like a mule![:D] 0 -
M-37 20 ga. Deerslayer. Couldn't put a slug on target to save my life. 0 -
I keep an old 16 guage pump J.C. Higgins around as a reminder of a brighter time when Sears Robuck still sold guns. It's actually a pretty solid gun, I got it so I could have an affordable shotgun in every guage (bore size). Kinda wish I hadn't traded my Walmart unique 10-22, still looking for a unique K-mart gun from when they sold em.
The J.C. Higgins is a nice gun, just my "worst for any reason" because of the low collector's value in $$$ and the least in respect to fire power of my shotgun owner's manuals, next junior is the Browning B-2000 assembled in portugal, considered by many to be the lowest grade of Browning Semi-Auto Shotguns. I've got 3 mossberg's and never had a problem, only one bought new, a 500a which has fired over two thousand rounds mostly target loads with no problems, except once I put too much torque on the magazine tube during reassembly that and lost a little of the bottom thread, but no problems or malfuntions. Those Mossberg's are Awesome.[}:)]0 -

Mossberg 500 12 ga. Rattled to beat the band and had a few feeding problems. On the positive side though I won a 20 ga Mossy 500 and it has been great. 0 -
norico 97 winchester copy. shoulda known better. would not fire until you realeased the forearm. that is a nice feature[B)] 0 -

I've only owned three shotgun owner manuals, a Mossy 835, a Winchester 1300/12 and a Remington 870/20.
None are bad. I love them all.0 -
New England firearms single shot 20 guage. It was the first gun i legally bought on my own. I traded it for a sweet fishing rod. 0 -
Charles Daly Semi-Auto 12ga. Bought it for $175 brand new from Galyns. Figured how could I go wrong.
Shot it a couple times on the Trap Field, loading 1 shell at a time into the chamber. Fired and ejected just fine.
Night before going pheasant hunting, I wanted to check the magazine tube capacity. Loaded 2 in the tube, went to eject them and both shells came out of the tube at the same time completely locking up the action.[:(!]0 -
Stevens clip fed- didnt feed.
Stevens 620 trench gun unreliable & never stayed fixed. Worst gun the Army ever bought.0 -

None of them will shoot straight.....

I've only owned Mossbergs and Remington shotgun. Oh I did have a little 12 gauge coach gun for awhile. I must have been lucky, I've never had a shotgun that had any type of difficulty. 0 -
well i didn't technicaly own it, but my dads ithaca was horrible. I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with that thing. 0 -

A benelli super black eagle when they first came out. Those thing would not cycle with light loads. 0 -
Guess I've been fortunate and never owned a lemon. The only shotguns I have now and I use them every year are a Model 12 (1940) 16 gauge with a 28 inch full choke barrel and a Model 12 (1941) 16 gauge with a 26 inch modified choke barrel. The only problem with these guns is after going through half of a case of shells (very productive 3 day hunt) you can almost see the butt plate logo in your black, blue, purple, and yellow shoulder. I know, use a padded vest. 0 -

Don't always be so quick to trade in jamming or malfunctioning guns!!! one time I got a good deal on Cobray M-11 because the previous owner had "squeezed" the upper a little too much when installing a new barral so the bolt rubbed to much against the inside walls of the upper and it didn't seat all the way forward after most shot. It was only vised a little too tight and was an easy fix, the gun works great! 0 -
ONE OF THE FIRST MOSS BERG 835'S AND A BENELLI SUPER 90 COULD'NT hit much with either because of the recoil if I wanted kicked like that iI would have stuck a hot poker to a horse's rear [xx(] 0 -
My worst to date is the Benelli SBE. I messed up on 3 turkeys with it last season.I will spend more time with it this season. If I can`t do better I will get something else. 0
