I'm always the only person at my range. I can shoot however I want and no one gripes. It sure is great owning a acreage![:D][:D] Can't imagine living somewhere where you have so many restrictions and have to pay to shoot your firearms. I love country life. [:)][:)]

Yep! We get the RAMBO characters at our range to. They shoot 30 rounds as fast as they can pull the trigger and run through about 10 mags full (didnt even hit the target ) in just a few minutes and then leave thinking they had accomplished something.[:0]

Even some of the pistol shooters with High cap mags, bang em off as fast as they can, and wonder why they cant hit the target..[;)]

have to admit, i am known at our range for doing this, but i am also known for hitting my target with each and every bullet

The range I use does not tolerate "rapid fire."

Shooting is fun. Shooting fast is funner. [:o)]

Ranges where I shoot have wooden box with chicken wire in it. Set those up to the guys shooting semi-autos. Seems everyone is happy.

weh! at 100 yds I could do 5" with an AK, 3" with an SKS, open sights. and this ain't no target shooting. whose shooting are you going to go by?

I did rapid fire once just to see what accuracy I would get in a combat/panic situation. shot as fast as I could barely re-aim, about every 2 sec. all 30 rnds went into about 1-1/2 foot at 100 yds.

anybody could do that. that's plenty good enough. nothing wrong with an AK.

Though not an uncommon ability, not anybody could do that, there are more that can't than can. You sell yourself short. Anyway, I assume Bgjohn was speaking of a rate of fire 4-5 times faster than 1 rd. at 2 sec. intervals, as fast as the trigger can be pulled., big difference in accuracy.

That's why I like shooting in the pasture. No one to criticize my bad habits. I can also be as destructive as I want also. 20 rounds at a bucket just because.

My AK Clone shoots just fine. (OK it's a .223 MAK.) I was cheating and using a tripod. I was hitting clay pigeons as targets on the sand. Only problem was it shoots to the right a hair. Front sight needs adjusting.

    And I quote!

Bgjohn started this topic about some fellows using SKS or AK clones throwing brass all over. He said nothing about an assualt rifle. You are the only one to use that language. Maybe you should reread what you posted.
