mlincoln, I can't tell you what is wrong with people, but I share your love for dog fighting. It is not a sport.

they want to see a fight. they want to see dogs fight. the dogs in the ring really do want to fight, but the people there don't care or they ignore the cruelty that goes along with it.

when they train a dog to fight, how many 'normal' dogs did they have it kill? that's cruel as hell.

it can't be kept as a pet, it's a fighter, when its fighting days are over they either kill it or just leave it tied somewhere to die.

    sons of b....'s.

No different than chicken fighting to me. They just want to see something die. The Romans were the same.

I'd pay $10 to see the owners, with knives lashed to their hands, thrown in pits with only one emerging. If the baasturds want to play savage, have a real show.

Not much dog fighting where I live but cock fighting is still alive and well. I've never been to a cock fight but a good friend who is a LEO says most cock fight fans are bubbas. He says that the best birds sell for $400-$500.
I don't abuse any animals. I don't shoot any game I don't like to eat: I love to eat dove, quail, duck, deer.
I shoot them and I eat them. I also like gator tail and frog legs. Most country fish reataurants serve gator tail and frog legs. Yum!

Dog fighting is sick and disgusting.
Anyone who participates in it is mentally ill.

It's illegal in most states, but as a misdemeanor instead of a felony. Some feel the money overrides the small fine they will pay.

in japan they raise some of the biggest matifist I have ever saw.
they will walk four using a small small truck, one on each corner,
with chains. I saw it once never stopped there again

I would gladly personally execute anyone involved in dog fighting, dogs don't just get that mean on their own, they are beaten and starved to be vicious.

Here in Kansas animal cruelty is now a felony, it took some moron dousing a puppy with acid before our legislators saw the light.

What YOU think "isn't a sport" ain't with spit in many parts of the
world. Matter of fact a lot of things we think ... ain't worth spit
in a lot of other places.

Around these parts, bear baiting and 'wild indian (those not
Mission bound) shooting' used to be popular right up to the
1850s ... and beyond for the Indian shooting. Matter of fact,
I believe, the last Federally sanctioned `Indian shoot' was in
1890. My maternal grandmother was born in 1890 - and her
husband was born in 1890, ... not really THAT long ago.[8D]

Not anymore, Doug. Now they own all the casinos around here - we have the most of any county in America - 22 or 23, I think.

The few survivors are now exacting a wonderful revenge on the White Man! They even hire some for gardeners and greeters! [:D][:D][:D]

The really sick thing in this thread is the people writing that they are willing see a human killed over a dog! Now that is sick!

It's really not that long ago, Zip. My grandfather was born in the Spring of 1866.

I figured you'd blow it! My father was born in 1907. His Father was born in 1866, and his was born in 1836. There you have my father, my grandfather, and my great grandfather.

    OK ... you're quite a bit older than I thought [kimi: Posted - 03/24/2007 - 63] ... I thought you were MUCH younger than 63 - dunno, just seemed to me ... OK, you're 63 ... I presume born in 1944 ... dad born in 1907 ... that's 100 years ago ... that'd make him 37 when you were born ... yep ... I should never assume anything around this circus ... my apologies, old feller![:D]

No it's not. People who cause any animal to fight for their entertainment should be shot. Simple as that, and I would gladly volunteer to do it, and mind you I'd have a smile on my face.

And more power to them! Any time the Indians can get one up on us white eyes, I say go for it.
