has anyone studied parallel universes?
I was talking to a guy who was very indepth about what he thought were parallel universes and levels of we could be on.
LOL
I don't know where he got all this information and I don't know how much I believe but it sure was interesting to listen to.
Does or did anyone study Parallel universes in college?
Can you explain it to me.?////

'String theory' is actually more interesting.

No one knows anything about it????
Come on ZipperZap[:D]you should know something aboutit?0 -
Ahhh I knew you wouldn't let me down.
Ok lets here the string theory.[8D]0 -
just watch "back to the future" I II and III 0 -
Never really thought about it.
Maybe watch some of the Scifi show named "Sliders". I know the show isn't real but don't know if they tried to base it on information on parallel universes or just random.0 -
I'll have to check with the other infinite me's!

The guy I was talking to was all about how your life is like parallel paths much like a 5 lane freeway and which ever lane you are in there will be a slight variances. Ultimately you have the choice of which lane you are in though. 0 -
Haven't actually seen one since The Mirror Universe (MU) - which was a fictional parallel universe in which the plots of several Star Trek episodes took place. It was named for "Mirror, Mirror." 0 -
No - not exactly - they (if they) exist, they continue along infinately - as does the alter you.
There is no contact between them, and you, though. If there was, there'd be no 'parallel' involved - there would be a 'convergence.'

Well what about that man in the mirror then... 0 -

There is quite an artical in Julys special edition of astronomy magazine about the string theory, quite a controversial subject.0 -
Heared bout looking in a mirror in front of u that reflects what u see from a mirror placed behind u and then...hmm i forgot where to place the candle...Maybe in front of the mirror in front of u...and then turn off the light in the room...and then maybe u see sumthin scary.
I went to summercamp once u see [;)]0 -
[8D]--Don't forget the 5th dimension and I don't have "time" to talk--

Were just thinking that if there is another dimension, maybe that is where the ghosts are.
But seriously i heared that scientist i know talking bout it some. But i never got in to that stuff myselfe though.0 -
Here ya go MVP,.......have at it!

How do you "study" what is only posited without a single iota of evidence? The same way you would "study" unicorns and virginity in Alabama? 0 -
You'd do well to study the Bible, instead. 0 -
[8D]--In Alabama ???

Is that a "parallel universe" of the Quran?0 -

Timothy Leary put on quite a class devoted to this type of stuff.
He claimed to have found a Key to parallel universes.0 -

The Bible thread where they are beating the dead horse about proving/disproving that there is a God made me want to start this thread.[:o)]0 -
I'd be more interested in the less studied Perpendicular Universes, but I don't want to put the topic on a tangent.[:D] 0 -
[8D] And as you must know, HE FOUND THE KEY--

Paralell Universes, UFO's or the likes. Who really gies a damn. Just living day to day is enough for me to contend with. I cant be bothered with this stupididy people dream up and try to push on us as "high zoot thinking". Get off the "pills" or sober up. 0 -

Come on now Joeaf1911a1[:)]
If you would post more of your deer pics or old time stories I wouldn't have to make these high zoot thinking posts.0 -

The mother ship informed me
I could explain it to you, but
then I'd have to vaporize you.
Your call.

String theory/parallel universes is interesting to read about, but it is 100% science fiction. If you want to read about interesting stuff, look at timeality. This is based on Einsteins theory of relatively among other things and has to do with the speed of light, time, distance, etc. THAT is interesting stuff! 0 -
My understanding is that string theory is a subset of Quantum Mechanics.
Quantum Mechanics has PROVEN that C is not an absolute.
Also deals well with time travel, and the "transporter" effect.
I bees liken it'all.
