    Thanks for the gospel this morning. I have to go serve the public and will miss the service so I really appreciate that. God bless.

    Is this all about Easter eggs? [;)]

    Don't be ridiculous! This is the day he comes out of His tomb and, if he sees His shadow, there will be 6 more weeks of winter. [:D]

    He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels

    They bound the hands of Jesus in the garden where He prayed;
    They led Him thro' the streets in shame.
    They spat upon the Savior so pure and free from sin;
    They said, "Crucify Him; He's to blame."

    Refrain
    He could have called ten thousand angels
    To destroy the world and set Him free.
    He could have called ten thousand angels,
    But He died alone, for you and me.

    Amen

    Amen! And thank you Lord.
    Rom. 8:36 "For who The Son sets free, is free indeed"

    From the New Living Translation:

    Romans 8:36 (Even the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.")

    John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free.

    Right quote; right chapter and verse number; wrong book. No problem--I'm just a compulsive editor. No offense intended. [;)]

    Christians co-opting a Celtic holiday. Bunny, a symbol of fertility + egss, a symbol of fertility = spring celebration of the re-birth of life on earth. See how the whole christian rebirth thing plugs right in? Same with Christamas, heck all of the myth was borrowed from somewhere else. The historic Jesus, now that is another story.

    I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't,

    than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.

    How you live your life doesn't necessarily have anything to do with what church you go to. Many atheists are as charitable, kind, honest, ethical and honorable as many purported Christians. If you attend church "just in case" I suspect you are fooling no one but yourself.

    Yep, very true HeDog. Many christian Holidays/Holydays were intentionaly "scheduled" if you will, to replace pagan holidays. I don't know when Easter bunnies and eggs and such were added to Resurection day. Maybe from the beginning.
