i am sick of this global warming garbarge
i wake up in the morning and sit down toe at breakfeast and read the newspaper. first article is about global warming and how it will kill all poor people in the world. culprit ? america. then i go turn on the tv to watch some sunday football. headline news is on...a story about global warming and how its going to kill everyone. culprit ? america. now i come online and the top story on aol is global warming and how it is going to destroy life as we know it by the end of the century.
yesterday my friend, who lives in western montana, told me his house was under about 8 feet of snow.
this global warming stuff is out of control and is pure fear mongering.
i have decided that from here on out....i dont care one bit about man made global warming. if it happens it happens. life moves on.

Global warming is a wealth redistribution scheme on an international level. It has very little to do with genuine concern for the environment. 0 -
I agree with you daveald.
Global warming is happening and at a much faster rate than predicted.
The causes? Way too complex to single out one source. The leading industrialized contries, most agree, are the largest contributors.
What to do about it? Do no harm, lead by example, and ask others to do the same.
Be prepared for the eventual break down of social order and the rule of law.
Keep your pieces well oiled and your powder dry.

My comment above was meant as a "jab".
I believe the climate is warming, but I don't believe it has anything to do with human activity.
There is a ton of evidence about the cycles of the earth's climate, and of the output of the sun.
A large volcanic eruption puts out more "greenhouse" gases than we could create in centuries.
It is a ploy to give the third world nations a chance to "catch up", by slowing down our advancement.0 -

I have no doubt that we could do more to clean up our water and air, but I don't believe that we are causing global warming. All one has to do is take a look at the past cycles of warming and cooling to see that we have not had a huge jump equivalent to the jump in industrialization.
As I said, clean air and water would benefit all. Instead, with all the scare tactics, people get tired of even the most basic conservation ideas.
Al Gore has done more to hurt conservation of natural resources than he has to help.

I already leave a pretty small footprint, for a variety of reasons, and have for 58 years. What torques me is some overweight guy in a house ten times the size of mine, with utility bills every month equal to two year's worth of mine, who owns more vehicles today than I have in my entire life, and he tells me I need to trade my Suburban in on a rice-burner tin coffin. Pound sand, Al, and leave me alone. Hand be one of those mercury-filled twisty light bulbs, bend over, and I'll show you what the twists are for.0 -

if you dont care, why not come help me dig up 10,000.00 worth of dead boxwoods and help me replant dead trees that can withstand hotter temps on the va. border to n.c.? all these trees were planted when weather was milder, but with warming,the hot line has moved more north. now we dont even get snow anymore. we are presently 11 1/2" behind normal rain fall. im sorry youre sick about it. but at this rate, it will be more than trees and boxwoods dieing from hotter temps...fairly soon.[:0] 0 -

I am in no way trying to lessen your hardships and I am sorry for them, however...
I think it will improve for you guys. We were something like 24" behind a year or so ago, still behind, but getting better.
No rain means no crawfish, and that ain't good around here.

well this is the link I was trying to highlight but you can put it in you browser if you care to read it.Its amazing that some-one with the moniker civil rights could be so closed minded to take this hard line stand on a subject that is obviously important, I guess it dosen't really matter anymore as I think weve gone to far to change the outcome. I'm glad that I'm old enough to know that it won't affect me, but I worry about those comeing after me. I leave a very small footprint (enviormentally) and yet I know that its still to much.
