As many of you know i grew up in a VERY small farming/ranching community and up there i new every farmers daughter and it didn't matter wether i was driving the stang or the old beater farm truck, I could ALWAYS get a date. Sometimes it seemed like the dirtier i got from working on the ranch, The easier it was to get a date[8D]
Now i live in a considerably bigger city and no matter how hard i try i just can't seem to get a date. It just seems like the girls in this town just aren't interested in a good ole ranchen boy[:(]
I got close once though, Ran into a gal in the mall and we kindof hit it off, She liked my stang and so i told her about my other projects, She said she wanted to see them so i took her to my house to show them to her. When she saw them she accused me of being another one of those jerks that would end up spending more time with my cars than i would with her[:0] That was the last we spoke[V]
Dang, I had been told that city girls where hard to get, But i didn't expect anything like this[:0]
Oh well, I guess it will be another night with you guys and my guns/cars.

I am sorry about that. Let me share something with you young man. I have two daughters (and you can forget about meeting either of them). My oldest girl Christine is 22 and at Stanford working on her Masters Degree in structural engineering. When she came back home after her first semester at the university four years ago I asked her if she'd met any nice guys up there.
"Are you kidding? I swear daddy the guys up there at school are nothing but a bunch of pu$$ys"!
Just be yourself and don't change with the wind just to suit some girl who you just met. Big city girls do like the rugged outdoors type guys (which must mean my wife married me for my money [:(]).0 -

Well i spent my years growing up strapping myself to some realy mean broncs and bulls and hanging on for dear life. I can tell you that it takes lots of ba$$s to do that stuff.

Well how bout joining a "dance group?"...with all the interest in Dancing with the stars, why not try it?..or country dancing?...how bout nite school?...take a few courses at the local college or university (night school)(check them out first to see how the girl/guy ratio is)...there is always the bar scene of course, and you dont have to drink enjoy yourself....
What other things do you like to do?...check at the librabry for clubs etc in your town, see what is available to join where there might be girls your age....0 -

A very Christian friend of mine had a quite paradoxical outlook on some things.
He had had enough of the sisterty, shallow, self-absorbed, narcissistic b1tches he kept meeting and started seeing a pro.
When I gave him grief about it, vis a vis his devout Christianity, he gave me a reply that I did not expect.

Could try what a guy I grew up with did. He asked every gal he met (discreetly) if she would go to bed with him. He got slapped a few times but he was never without feminine company.
Or what a "naval infantry" guy swore he did in bars....G.U.E. (go ugly early) [:D]
To meet a better class of women.
I had a habit of asking the pretty ladies you see setting alone that most guys won't strike up a conversation with because they are afraid of being turned down.. to buy me a drink. I was always suprised how many times they would.(Was also suprised how many times some handsome "lady killer" type would stroll up later and ask her to dance only to be turned down) Had some look at me and laugh but never had one get mean about it. Those always remembered me at later dates and sometimes would come over just to set and talk. I guess because they knew(or thought they knew [}:)]) that I wasn't desperate and I wasn't judgemental about whatever their lifestyle happened to be. Met some really nice ladys that are still friends 30 years later that way.
I think your problem is that you came from a small town where you were well known and havn't had the time to be "known" where you are now living. Keep on trying in the same places for a while.
Women talk! And name names while talking! Gotta give em a while for "the word" on you to get around. (This can be either good or bad for you!)
Might try reviving the lost art of flirting with eye contact. Then ignoring them. Hey it can't hurt.

No, About the time i started thinking about inlisting my dad got hurt at work and things started getting realy tight, money wise.
So my part time job that i was doing for fun, Became a full time job that i was doing just to support the family.
