Bert, When you get to the bottom there's nowhere to go but up, so hang in there.

If she's leaving and you where not getting along, it may be a blessing. I just hope you dont get taken to the cleaners splitting things up.

Wait a minute. Your wife wants to break-up, but not until Monday??? What the hell, is she in 8th grade? Did she send you a note in math class??? You'll be better off when she is gone.

Been there, more than once, and found that the situation is 100% survivable. It's tough, but you will get through it.

    No kids?

If you dont want to say it here, email me, and copyright it if you feel its need-be [;)]

YOull make it, OH, and sell all your guns to a friend for a dollar, and buy a MP3 player or something from one for all the money you have in the bank.

Or maybe one of the trust worthy members here will allow you to "sell" them the guns, and sell back to you once whatevers done

If she's been dragging you down for that long.... your better off without her. Is it possible she has a boyfriend on the side?

give her $100 and tell her to go to a motel, then change the locks.

no kids, thankfully, and we have kept our finances very separate fortunately, im not worried about her screwin me on the guns and other belongings, she knows whats mine and whats hers.

i got her to stay at a friends for the weekend, but she wants to transition from husband and wife, to friends overnight, i just dont think i can do that, maybe someday, but now, i cant even look at her, i just cant.

Well...not to sound callous, but if she's waiting till Monday, you may as well get some while you still have the chance...and make it count. Give her something to think about for the next 50 years. I've been in your shoes. It does get better. God had someone better in store for me. Keep your chin up.

i'm doin my best, i have to realize that if this is how easy she quits on a serious thing like a marriage, then she just doesnt have the balls to make it in this world.

on a lighter note, is an Ex-sister-in-law off limits still?

It sucks that women allways drop the bombs after dinner,it makes it hard to sleep, go to home depot and buy some locks then change them out and fall asleep watching a movie. tomorrow inform her of the change and that you want some notice before she comes over, then try to get someone to come over to be a witness before she arrives.
I don't know how old you are but life will get better.

Bob, you're not the first guy to go through this. Some of us have, and, believe me, things will get better. My first wife was a cheating piece of crap and I was devastated when we split. I have now, been married to my second wife for 32 years and, believe me, I couldn't ask for a nicer lady. She has totally enriched my life and, because of her demeamer, has given me everything a man hopes for; a sense of being needed, support in any situation, love, dignity and three really nice boys. I thank God for her and never thought I wuold ever feel that way about anyone after #1.
Don't rush things and, one day, you may know what I'm talking about.[:)]

when they wanna be friends that translates into ....she is already seeing someone else and wants to see if its gonna work. if not she will come crying saying she made a mistake. head her off at the pass and get another. if she sees this she'll poop.... women....they want what they can't have.. sorry

thanks for the words guys, even if i think this out, and i know its going to actually improve my life with the deadweight gone, it is still indescribeable what i am feeling now, i just have to tell myself that is a chemical reaction in my brain that is making me feel like this, much as falling in love is simply chemicals in our brains that make us so indescribeably happy, losing it is equally as powerfull, just on the other end of the spectrum

the main thing and the natural reaction that is the biggest mistake is to chase her. don't. you will drive her further. let the good lord do as he has planned. never lose your self respect[;)][B)]

i didnt shed a single tear or lift a finger to try to stop her, i think that got to her a bit, i just said, ok, then go...

Should someone keep firearms and sharp objects away from you?

I think most of us have been through the same thing one time or another. Keep your chin up and stay focused on your job. Bad time's will level off.

well, there are about 16 firearms, and god knows how many sharp objects in this room, but dont worry, there is no female on the planet who is worth hurting yourself over, and my head is clear enough to know that, even in the midst of... well, this.
