%&*#$!!!!! low income housing

CA sucks
So I accepted my first job offer, and will be moving to Sacramento.
I found an affordable apartment 2 miles from where I will be working($750/month for a single), and they won't let me live there.... my income is too high they say.

I'm broke and just got an entry level job requiring no previous experience (aside from a college degree), and I'm going to be making too much money??? WTH.

Oh well its probably best.... the neighborhood was probably full of crime and full of illegal immigrants packing multiple familes in a single apartment.

Maybe they did me a favor..... but they'd do me even more of a favor if they opened it up to the entire market. That way housing I'm eligible becomes cheaper, and we price the illegals out.....

Either way... this sucks and I'm going to continue my search for a place to live.

    Just because I'm from here, but you ought to check out Iowa for what you do. Iowa leads the world in biotechnology, and I believe there is a new lab being built at Ames Lab for biotechnology. The rent is a helluva alot cheaper too!

    CA Sucks; where in Sacramento are you planing to live? I live in the east Sacramento area. I have lived in this area my entire life. The apartment complex that I live in is 850 for a two bedroom or 750 for a one bedroom. The apartment complex is pretty nice, clean and quite. There are a lot younger people in this complex; because it is pretty close to Sacramento State. Let me know if there is thing I can do to help in your search.

    acm1288- the place I'm gonna work is by 80 to Reno and Northgate, which is sort of North West Sacramento.
    Ideally I'd like to live within 10 miles of work.

    If you know of any good places to live around there, any good gunstores in sac, or any good places to pick up women, please send me an email.
