ACT Test Scores?
I am originally from the east coast area and when someone takes a test for college they take the SAT, or college boards as we called them in the day. A GOOD score was 1200 or 1300 up to a possible 1600.
Here in the midwest the test of choice is the ACT. A co worker was very happy that his child got a 31. What am I missing here? Is this a good score. How high does it go?

mrsealte...my son got into Texas A&M with a 25 this year I guess their standards have come down some since you applied.Beach
I applied in 97' after 4 years in the Army, and still no luck, even after being on the Dean's list at Houston Comunity College, the only thing I can think of is they didn't like my essay or major, (political science).
Did your "essay" have pictures?0 -
No Mensa here. I was just really happy my kids scored well. Took a lot of pressure off dad's pocket book. However,I have no idea what my ACT was. I do know what my IQ test was -- Thank GOD they did not count spelling![:D]
I think the young person who started this thread had a legitimate question. 31 is a good score. Period. Does not gurantee success or fame or fortune -- it is just a very good score.0 -
