Historically, people caught in these mass shooting sprees do not resist or fight back. They cower on the floor and wait to be shot. It doesn't matter what sort of gun is used or how much ammo it carries.

Recall about 30 years ago when a nut shot a bunch of people in a CA McDonald's? He used a single-shot shotgun, like a Topper. Reloaded for each shot as people cowered under tables awaiting their turn.

But what should we expect? Our culture stresses compliance with criminals. Many states (including my own which shocks me) require retreat in the face of criminal violence before resorting to effective self-defense. We are raised to "do as he says" and "don't resist" and "let the police handle it."

Amazing, tough I guess this is true. I still think the survival instinct would take over in SOMEONE at the scene. Obviously I'm wrong.

    What are clips?

M1 rifles are loaded with clips. Some rifle and pistol magazines are loaded with clips. The M16 rifle magazine can be loaded with or without a clip.

Yeah, yeah, I know, you were just being a wise ass. I thought I'd be one too. [:D]

I actually prefer shooting my Glock 19 with the 32 rounder in it. The added weight on the back of the gun lessens the muzzle rise and makes for quicker, more accurate, follow-up shots

    have you actually timed them?

No, but it's easier to bump fire with the 32 rounder too. Although I do agree with you 1911a1sfan, the training of the man behind the Gun is more important than the Gun itself.

and yes I know a pistol fore-grip may be illegal in places where the Constitution is not being enforced[}:)] I'm sure the owner of this example has all the proper paperwerk.

What shooting are you refering to ? The guy that shot up the McDonalds in San Ysidro was armed to the teeth.

Like most of these nut jobs I think he had multiple guns but as I recall he did most of the shooting with the shotgun, walking around and reloading after each shot.

I thought the guy at the Mcdonalds in San Ysidro used a semiauto UZI model B. I thought that it led to banning of importation of UZIs under Bush I.

Just remember the recoil may be different between Target loads and Defense loads. And can the dude in the video march 50 miles without whining?

If only the anti gun guys knew just how this SELLS more mags to release this kind of hooplah about how "bad" these things are. We have sold over 250 Glock mags in three days.....and would have sold MORE if I could have gotten any more in stock.

Thank you media for the boost in sales.

Maybe I will have a boost in 9mm ammo sales. But they better be going to people who would use them against a murderer like him.

    you better check your information again, we are cronographed often, and your rounds better make power factor or your out, and no target loads will make power factor, that's is the difference between a master, and an amateur {i prefer them hotter anyway, they cycle faster}

why in the world would i need to march 50 miles

Are 32 round magazines anymore deadly then 3 ten round magazines?

As 1911a1fan said, a magzine can be changed out in less then a second with practice.
with a vest full of 10 round magazines a mad man could accomplish the same amount of destruction.
The magazine capacity and restrcions really mean nothing.

My point is that 33 rds gives a shooter a good chance of stopping a multiple rush against him. Therefore if you choose to go through life with anti-gun blinders on, you had better keep you butt in ironman condition so you can put some world class distance between you and the shooter.... so to be anti-gun today means Goodbye Pizza, Goodbye Beer, Hello Bean Sprouts and No Thanks I'm a Anti-gun Designated Driver I'll have Ice & Water if you please.....

I don't have a clue what you are saying.
I didn't think it was hard to understand I was saying that if there are laws restricting magazine capacity to ten rounders Cho could have done exactly the same as he did with 33 rounders. If the anti firearm crowd feels safer with with 10 round ristrictions they are wrong because with practice and an ammo vest full of 10 round magazines it is no different then a madman with a couple 33 round magazines.

Same thing with "cop killer bullets"

I hope that is easier for you to understand so you don't think I am running around with blinders on.

Your right i'm no organized competition shooter but have seen a little exhibition shooting.

Your right 50 miles a day is a lofty goal. During one roadmarch of the Crusades, King Richard was able to move his forces 7 miles a day under heavy fire.

I agree. The world is looking for any excuse right now and the media will grasp at any tidbit of information solely so that a "reporter" can turn it into news coverage which then translates into filling air time which then translates into earning one's keep, i.e. the reporter's salary.

I consider these known facts irrelevant to the scope of the tragedy and the greater problem facing all of society:

    1. a Glock was used - so what? Are Glocks more lethal than Kimbers?
    2. 33-round magazines were used - a madman like Cho in a locked university classroom/dorm environment had all the time in the world to swap out 10 round mags, especially when he was the only one with a gun inside those classrooms and dorm.
    3. Roanoke Arms is the dealer - based upon what I read, procedures were followed and the FBI approved the sale and I'm not laying the blame on them (Feds) either; Cho's dangerous mental condition AND institutionalization for treatment were well-documented but never officially reported to the proper authorities.

    and there are other facts.

One law enforcement "guru" in the upper ranks threw out the term "hollow points" in an exclusive interview and commented that such ammunition was considered to be extreme and unnecessary for civilian use.

That begs the questions then "What live pistol ammunition is safer for "civilians" to repeatedly shoot someone else with as on a psychotic rampage? And, is target ammunition less lethal at close range? Would Cho be viewed as being less of a psychotic madmen and killer had he used wadcutters or shotshells?"

Stupid pointless blather aimed at filling air time and advancing agendas along with careers, IMHO.

I read that he could change mags quickly...I don't know I wasn't there... what I'm saying is that even (or especially)if he couldn't that 33 rder means two times that even that single second to react was gone. My point is when the SHTF you don't know his abilities you don't know when he is vulnerable or a least the exact second it will occur (if ever as you implied he might be good) and you can't just stand there and wait till it does. You have two options, run like hell or shoot him. If you are in a box and you don't have a freaking gun your chances of dying increase every second that you and a unbullet-riddled he are in that room together...
You need to keep up on my posts...bottom line politics killed at least twenty of those thirty three people... I'm pissed off because a stupid rule took away any chance they had. And these freaking posts that ...They should have rushed him... No my friend they should have shot him. Only acceptable scenario...
People like Diane Feinstein (the wicked witch of the west) are so freaking stupid that they don't have a clue that they just killed more people in one morning with a vote than the fine men and women that their stupid laws keep the guns out of the hands of would have killed in fifty years.....

By saying Cho had an advantage with a 33 round magazine you are playing right into the restrictive gungrabbers argument of we need to restrict magazine capacity to feel safe.

the only advantage a heavier 33 round magazine would have is to help counterbalance the muzzle flip and help a limpwrister from stove pipeing his Glock.

A casual reader of this thread could get the impression that many of you guys are actually admiring the killer. How long did it take? 4 or 5 days?

Admire him.... no I don't think so.... Heck he only killed half as many of those people as politics did. Heck the people that I admire are the Diane Fienstiens and the Clintons in this country that set his victims like ducks in a Shooting Gallery. That was the hard task... Making folks believe that only the bad guys need guns and it is far better to be a victim that a live in-self-defense killer.

BTW Have you ever seen Diane Feinstein without her make-up?

I find it interesting and sad that the nice folk at Flea-Bay won't sell guns or ammo, but they do allow people to sell the high capacity clips ... and its these clips that seem to make it possible to get off a lot more rounds that the average little pistol clip.

Here in MA you have to have a permit for everything, and I could not even buy a high capacity clip with my license to carry. And I'm one of the good guys!

It's what you load the magazine of a Mauser Bolo from.[;)]
Or maybe it's an attachment to the pistol like a belt clip on a lockback knife.[:D]
